I second this. I have the borla uel, motiv op, stock fp, 2.5inch resonated cb. Sounds great. Pretty quiet around town and when you get on it, there is nice smooth tone

On other builds I have done w/ superchargers I have had good luck taming the sound with Magnaflow 24+" round resonators. I have used that particular series for the exact complaint and requested price point, quieter and as cheap as possible without going for complete junk. A lot of people like the Vibrant Ultra Quiet series resonators as well. Good luck with whatever route you consider but these are just some suggestions. All else fails you can go back to a more conservative muffler design similar to stock but you will lose some flow capability as a result of the superior sound deadening.
Thanks for the suggestions. The Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonators seem to get universally positive feedback from people. I'm wondering if i could install that with the front pipe? My rasp seemed most pronounced after that was installed..

Do you still have your stock FP? If so put it back in and see if the rasp goes away.

I find it funny that people drop $2000+ on a full exhaust system with 3" piping and complain it's too loud. There's plenty of evidence on here already that pretty much any header with 3" piping and no turbo is a deafening, raspy mess. Is it really that difficult to do a little research before buying?

I'm not singling out O.P., it's just that the amount of threads I see in the FS section for practically brand new parts just baffles me.

Yes i did research. As others have stated already the concept of "loud" is very subjective. Doing a cursory search of 'loud' in posts titles in the exhaust forum doesn't show what i'd consider to be overwhelming evidence a lot of people consider their systems to be too loud. Someone like myself who didn't have time to sit and read every single forum post might not have had conclusive evidence that the full exhaust system on this car is too loud for some peoples taste.

I love how loud my car is, not a big fan of the train mixed with rocketship sound it creates on a cold start though..

Cold startup is like a pulse jet of deafening noise.

nameless noise

I have 2.5" header back Nameless system with Hemholtz. I do a lot of highway driving and it is only quiet over 4500rpm. 3500~4500 is uncomfortable. Below that it just is not pleasant sound and no power. I have been waiting waiting for the nameless header to arrive before working on making it quiet. I will try the Q300 which is made locally once header is on. I will do a cat back dyno comparison don't expect much difference. Vibrant Ultra Quiet sounds interesting if more silencing is needed. Right now our track times locally are pushing the envelope for an NA automatic. Track is no problem can run trackpipe and still meet 103 db at 6k. Issue is DD.

Just poking in my .02 here. I put the Invidia N1 midpipe and CBE on mine. That's it.
Maybe I'm just getting old but it was immediately too loud with a ****load of drone. I tried putting the silencers on it but that just took it right back to quieter than stock.
So I'm just gonna ride it out until I get Ptuning's turbo setup. Plus hopefully their exhaust quietens it down some. Is the Q300 that much quieter than the N1?

Has anybody heard a full nameless setup (minus headers even)?

The resonated 2.5" Perrin was indeed not at all obnoxious. Rather loud on cold start but other than that it's like stock quiet.

There were also a lot of straight pipes and track pipes at that meet, which is, uh, a little more ridiculous.

Way too loud. Best fix for minimal impact?

Tried both Perrin 2.5" resonated and Invidia q300, and q300 is quieter on cold start and low RPMs, perhaps not on WOT at high RPMs. Different sound. Prefer q300 for my needs. Provided more info in a Q300TI vs Perrin thread.
