agree that it probably depends on dealership. My 10 Series was detailed by the dealership, but they are a combined Scion/Toyota/Lexus dealer so the detailers were from the Lexus side. The car looked great, no issues.

I checked out a few of the cars they did prior to mine arriving so it's always good to do homework.

With the 2015 June release announcement, it might pay Monogram shoppers to hold off for a discount in July.

Let the agonizing begin!

Meanwhile those of us who have already bought one can drive around with big smiles on our faces.

A little like what happened to some 10 Series owners after seven months of ownership when '14 Monograms started selling. We all thought 10 Series would sell to the walls but there might be some sitting at dealerships now. Same thing will happen with Monograms, just sooner.

but are the monogram features gonna be a separate trim level for 2015?

I'm not so sure trd version will have the monogram features.

This is very true. There are some dealers out there who have really good detailers working for them and they allow them to take their time and do it right. There are also dealers who sub out their work to private detailers who also do very good work. But on average most dealers think detailing is just a quick wash and vacuum and they pay their detailers just over minimum wage and rush them to get the work done. So they will wash 20 cars out of the same dirty bucket of water. A lot of dealers also have a swirl-a-matic they will drive your car through and call it clean.

It's alway best to do your homework and check out whoever is going to touch your car, not just in detailing but maintenance or anything else.

Even if the 2015 FRS comes with minor improvements, I'd be surprised if the leather interior/smart key/headlamps were available on the standard models. Those were all reasons I jumped on the Monogram. Plus, the timing was perfect.

I'm more intrigued with what changes the 2016 model will bring...

That is the feeling Im getting from some of the posters on here...

How can they tell you what you can and cannot do with your car?

If you go to a good PPF installer he will inspect your paint and do any correction necessary before installing it.

I don't think the dealer will officially screw your paint but they 'could' instill swirls and light scratches in it which are totally reversible. When you get your car from them take it out in the bright sunlight and inspect it very close, if you don't like what you see then find a good reputable detailer and have them fix it.

Agreed. I doubt they would do this.

I will do this when I take my car to SHC after checking it over. I am getting the dealer to add the PFF. Is it the opti-coat that the dealer installs?

Wonder what the Monogram sales numbers are? Perhaps we might get some word when the March sales numbers come out. I have yet to hear of any just sitting on dealers lots.
