While not great power gains it is neat none the less... wonder just how far you could get it with bolt ons and E85... for an NA all day driver that just might be fun. But then without looking I am going to guess its not the 12.5:1 compression ours is... bump the compression and that might be a different story.

It's not too bad of an idea, thanks guys. I think I might replace it, and fix the other one in the future. I just wonder if I can find a better price anywhere for a replacement.

I was driving up to my garage, and I just wasn't paying attention. Foot found the clutch instead of the brake and I bumped into the cement/stucco wall. I usually coast up the small bank you sometimes have with garages, coast back down to line up my spot, then drive up. This has been shaping up to be a nice week. I have a Series 7 exam on Friday that has cost me a good night's sleep for at least a week straight now.

My birthday is this same Friday. I'll be taking that exam from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

Maybe an aftermarket bumper that's not stock?

I usually like to upgrade or change anything I break. And I've broken a lot of stuff in the past.

I already prepped the car for the track I was supposed to go to the event earlier this month but work prevented me from going.

I changed the transmission and diff fluid, flushed and put in Motul brake fluid, and got my Winmax W4 pads on. Ready to go!

Although I am down to come by and help / meet everyone. Maybe have a few beers??

How are you liking those W4s? I was about to order the W3s for street/track duty. Will you swap back to a street pad after the event?

We'll let you know when we get ourselves organized.

Always interesting to see projects like this! While I enjoy checking them out, I still stand on the side that this car has enough power. Just gotta learn to drive it!

Our car is setting record lap times with no major performance upgrades. Both the Firebird East TTD and Chuckwalla TTD lap records are held by FRS' running wheels, brakes, and a tune. Stock pipes/airflow +drop in.

Additionally, the NASA racing group now penalizes the FRS/BRZ with a 110 lb weight penalty for classing. Why? Who knows... Im guessing its because theres a bunch of guys at the national level that are being out-driven by a car that cost half as much investment time and money as they have spent, and they're now raging. Honestly though, I'd like to know the "official" reason, but don't have the time to research currently.

Working out the minor details but it looks like I just settled on my turbo kit hope to order it today or tomorrow.

Maybe by next weekend I can be installing it and getting everything ready for tuning.

Hearing things like that excites me about the Auto-x / Track circuits. The reason is because it means Toyota really hit the nail on the head. Look at the miata. Had to have it's own class! I'm hoping we hit the same thing. I am going to end up stopping at Intake / Exhaust for performance. I will do tires and brakes too, but not until needed. I agree the car has enough power and is fun as shit to drive.
