It was a fun car. I miss the RBP RS the most. Probably cause it was my first car.

Hello all,

My name's Aaron, and I'm in Vnacouver, WA. I picked up my 2014 Lightning Red BRZ Limited in February, after almost buying a WRB one in Dec of 2012. I waited a full year to see if there would be any changes, and save up a bit. My last car was a 2012 Hyundai Accent (let's just call that my mistake). Before that I had an Avalanche for a year to tow a trailer, and before that I had my other two Subarus; a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon and a 2002 WRX Wagon (both silver). I fell in love with the concept car of the FT86, and can honestly say I love this car. I went with red to be a little unique out here (don't see too many) and because it's one of the colors I've never owned.

Here's the owner data as requested:

1. Aaron
2. 2014/Lightning Red/BRZ Limited
3. Vancouver, WA
4. Feb 2014

Welcome to the community, Aaron! Maybe we'll see ya round. Not many red BRZs, that's for sure!

Yep. Sold mine to a dude on NASIOC because I wanted it to go to a good home. I put countless hours of blood, sweat and tears into that car. He flipped it like a month later to some kid who totaled it street racing.

Sigh.

That SUCKS! Mine is in San Diego and is slowly getting finished. I sold it to a guy on RS25 who is taking good care of it. My RS is in Spokane and is now RHD with a fully jdm swap.

Yeah, I'm still bummed about it. I called him about six months ago because I was considering buying it back when I got the bad news

The kid popped the motor and skidded into a pole while street racing. Some idiot parents had bought it for him as his first car, and it was just too much car for him. I think I had the weight reduced to about 2600lbs and it was putting down 267whp/276tq and pulled like a raped ape as soon as you hit the gas. Hell, it was probably too much car for ME.

You got it. That's my old RS. Sold it to some kid in Federal Way who sold it to him. I had it for 7 years.

Figured it was time :P

Hello my fellow northwesterns. I figured it was finally time I introduced myself on the forums! (I've been lurking around for a couple months ) My name is Brett. I live here on Ft. Lewis with my wife. I've been in the Army Signal Corp for almost two years and was lucky enough to get stationed right back home, since I grew up around the puyallup area. I'm pretty young at 20 years old, but I have a huge passion for cars and all things mechanical and electronic. I have many many plans for my beautiful BRZ!

As most threads are useless without pictures...... I apologize in advance for phone pictures!

This here was my first car, cute little automatic V6 2010 Charger. I bought it used during Army AIT somewhat out of desperation of needing a car. Using a taxi for a couple of months got stupidly expensive. Nothing really impressive about this car other than it being great for long road trips. I drove it from Georgia to Washington State after I completed AIT heading to my first duty station. Done to the car: Tinted windows, K&N CAI, Custom true dual exhaust, Diablosport In-Tune to tune the car.

After having the Charger for a while, I got very bored of the automatic lifestyle and boring 3.5L V6. I thought what I wanted was a bigger engine and manual transmission to enjoy myself.... Didn't fully think that through I guess. Anyways, up next came the 2013 5.7L V8 Dodge Challenger 6-Speed manual. I actually learned to drive a manual on this car. I learned in just one short weekend probably only slightly burning the clutch 2-3 times. Fast learner I guess. Done to the car: Tinted windows, exhaust resonator delete, plasti-dipped the front chrome grill surround.

After having the Challenger for almost a year, I started to truly dislike it. Yeah it was fast.... But it lacked everything else. It drove like a giant boat, body roll for days, boring low rpm's, expensive on insurance... and of course.. DRANK SOOOOOO MUCH GAS. Holy shit. Made me sad that I had a pretty awesome car that I almost tried to avoid driving simply because it was so gas inefficient. Also, the Challengers have a very clunky second gear that did not go away even after the car had fully warmed up (Which has been noted on very many Challenger forums). When I brought it into the dealership for warranty they said "We notice the problem but do not think it is bad enough to look into"..... To me, it completely ruined the driving experience of the car.

Anyways, I found almost the exact opposite of the Challenger, the BRZ. I fell in love with it and realized that instead of a giant muscle car, the small little tuner was exactly what I have been looking for in a car. I could not be happier with my decision. I bought my 2014 Dark Grey Metallic BRZ Limited from Tacoma Subaru December 26, 2013 and have not looked back or regretted it even once.

So far I have; tinted windows, Invidia N1 exhaust, Raceseng Slammer shift knob and reverse lockout, Weathertech floor mats with diode dynamic BRZ badge replacements, motul 300 transmission and rear differential replacement fluid, and of course my Seattle skyline sticker to rep the NW!

Soon to come!: New wheels and tires, coilovers, then start my saving jar for the turbo kit.

I love washing and waxing her :]

Anyways, to wrap up, I'm very glad to be here. This forum seems like a great place to be. I am literally on it more than once a day, every day. I'm very excited to start going to some meets and getting to know the fellow BRZ/FRS owners! I will definitely be going to the Perrin meet this coming Saturday. I'll see the fellow Tacoma crew that is attending at the Crispy Creme.
