Bumpstop Question

So I recently just got a set of used Eibach sportline springs and it didn't come with the bumpstops. Can I just re-use the old/oem bumpstops or is the replacement ones are needed?

How much did you trim it and how much lower for the springs? I think I may have to trim more due to the amount of drop it gives. If so then I may just contact the seller and see if he has the bump stops

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try contacting the seller first, then Eibach to see if I can get the bumpstops before deciding to cut the oem ones.

Yeah they do come with bumpstops new. Gonna see if the previous owner still have it first. I don't want to go through all the trouble of getting new bumpstops if the previous owner still has them.

Just so you know, replacement bumpstops for this kit costs $30 ea. that's $120 total, so you should try to get them from the original owner as part of the spring purchase if you can. You can get others from Koni, but I'm not certain if they'll match the exact dimensions and durometer of the original Eibach bumpstops.

I cut mine with a box cutter. Exacto would work. I wouldn't recommend using a saw as you'll end up with ragged chewed up cut. Exacto or surgical blade, I'd recommend using.

REALLY?!?! Thank you for the heads up. That's a lot just for bumpstops. Original owner said he may have it, just gotta look for it so I'm hoping he still has them.

No probs and best of luck. If you have to end up ordering from Eibach, I can provide the part numbers. PM me.

I just trimmed an inch off mine when I had sportlines, I forgot to install the new ones I think. Gave the springs away with the bumpstops long ago though.
