I also bought a JVC KD-X250BT head unit, which allows me to control the head unit functions via bluetooth on my phone. I can control the source, volume, equaliser. That way I don't need to mess around with all that Arduino stuff.

Curious if my x50 works with the same app. What is it called?

It's called JVC Smart Music Control, you should be able to find it on the Play Store if you have an Android phone.

it gives nothing but static. i had a feeling it wouldnt work

i had the otg cable into the nexus, DAC into usb and the power cord charging it from laptop and also tried from wall charger.

should i just buy another one,
or any other suggestions?

I bought a Behringer UCA202 USB DAC for my set up - works great.
Cost me 50 bucks though.

Yeah tried it in the computer.
Yeah that would be handy if you could do that.
But we shall see how these turn out.
There wasn't anything special you had to do right?
Should just be plug and play.

Was it working when you plugged it in to your computer? You should get audio.

And nope just connect it to the otg usb port and you are good.

Didn't work in the computer. It installed drivers and everything fine, when plugged in the audio stopped coming out of laptop speakers as if it were going to the DAC but all i was hearing was static like i said before.
I dont care that it doesnt work, i just care that my next one does.

i might eventually be buying a audison bit10 processor.

Wow that might explain why it didn't work in the nexus. Can you return it?
