My OFT came today and flashed the 1.55 stage 2 UEL tune. The car is a whole different animal. It pulls much stronger and smoother. This is how the car should have come from the factory! My first WOT pull to redline left me giggling like a little girl. There's a small dead spot at initial pedal movement but I'm assuming the ecu will eventually learn and correct that.

A big thanks to @shiv@vishnu for producing a great product!

I had this as well but it didn't change. I have been back to stock for a while trying to see if a CEL will come back, but I was on E85 for around 1000 miles and had the Stage 1 map loaded for a week or so prior to that (easily a few hundred miles for me). I thought I was imagining things, but when a friend drove my car, he commented on the pedal doing just this.

This is normal, ECU learning zero throttle settings

after flash if you let it idle for a couple of minutes speeds process.

After I flashed, I turned the key to ON and moved the pedal through it's full travel ten times. I then started the car and let it idle for five minutes. I only have about 50 miles on the tune though, so I expect it will get better.

Curious... are we supposed to be switching to 1.56b now? I saw it on the OFT site and didn't see 1.55b anymore.

Take a peek at the release notes/read me file. It will describe changes between different versions. IIRC, the difference between 1.55 and 1.56 is just added ROM ID support for non-USDM OFT users. Mapping is unchanged.

I think that looks fine. Personally I think under 12 is a little rich for N/A, although I would taper it to run richer at the top end. Don't forget that the OFT is a one-fits-all type map, like the OEM one but better, so Shiv is always going to play things safe.

Just a quick question,

Last night I flashed my car to Stage1 and was testing it out, I noticed that my engine sounded a little raspier when accelerating at certain points. or it could be something else rattling. Anyway, is this normal since we are pushing the engine a little more?

3800-4000 RPM exhaust resonance due to aggressive exhaust timing to eliminate the dip. It goes away with the stage 2 UEL tune because the timing changes aren't needed to eliminate the power with an UnEqual Length header.

Are there any changes to engine braking in the OFT maps? Somewhere I read that the stock ECU (sorry, I can't seem to find the post anymore) leaves a lot of throttle opening when lifting off, while that it great for coasting/gas mileage, it sucks for getting the car to set the nose and actually turn-in in a motorsport setting.

Can anyone confirm this behavior?

That makes perfect sense! Thank you, guess ill just have to wait for my OFH to come before i switch to stage 2.

One last question, I am completely stock, but want to run an e85 map.

Even tho stage 2 is designed for catless aftermarket headers, can i still run the stage 2 EL e85 map?
