Rotrex SCs' in regards to (Elevation & Temp changes) Affects?

Greeting 86 friends

So I have been following the FI Section since forever lol..

In my near days coming I will be going FI. I have narrowed down for FI on the SC side to being the Rotrex units as my favourite thus far. And for TC Avo or Ptuning. The units like Avo for TC, Innovate for SC etc and some others I understand are done MAF tuning vs SD.

My questions or concerns with the Rotrex units comes from seeing repeated results but also comments on them being SD tuned.

Now bear with me on my (noob) understanding of how they the Rotrex have been being tuned. I understand that for them to be running optimum that they require SD tuning. And also to my understanding that means the ECU has less adaptability to both elevations and also temperature variance. Is this in fact correct?

Situation: I live where my elevation of residence is 3000 feet above sea level. When I go for a drive in the mountains which I frequently do in summer the elevation changes are from 3000-4400 feet above sea level. The temperature changes even in mid summer can vary from 35 degrees F in am to 90 degrees F by late afternoon, and this is no joke it can be that much.

So what I am trying to determine is how that will affect the performance of a rotrex or the car in general and if a SD tune is in fact 100% safe on rotrex for (MY SITUATION) being the high elevations and changes and temps?

I see most folks here are at sea level or damned close with these units and unless they do a country wide tour they may not even experience what I am speaking of to know any different. However trying to collect some information and possibly comments from folks that live in higher altitudes and their experience with the Rotrex units. Last thing I want to do is (F) a motor without even getting on it cause the unit I install may not be correct given my geographic location.

This is relevant to my interests.

I'm looking at the same kits (mostly leaning toward The JR Rotrex kit) and I live in Denver (5000-7000ft around the city and foothills, up to 13,000ft for some of the highest roads). We also have wild temperature swings on any given day, where the morning could be below freezing, and the afternoon may be over 70°F. Or 100°+ in the city, but 50°F up in the hills.

I'm at 4200+ feet. I'll be on a dyno in a couple weeks.

The Jackson Racing kit was heavily tested in California and Colorado. The Factory Tuned version of the kit will have zero trouble working in high altitude conditions.

As CSG Mike mentions, the Jackson Racing Carb Tune Kit has spent a lot of time in CO... a lot... without any issues.

+1 for Jackson Racing

How about on a hill climb?

TBH, this concern was the main reason I went TC instead of the KW kit.

The JR CARB Tune Kit has been through extensive testing on the same tune to validate all the parameters and ensure it will pass CARB with no issues. Hill climbs, high altitude and cold weather testing in Colorado (below freezing), desert testing in Death Valley of upwards of 125F at way below sea level, etc. all on the same tune due to CARB. It sounds all crazy, but everyone who actually has this kit and tune installed on their cars will verify this statement.

Sub'd, I was thinking of the same kits as you. I keep going back to Jackson, will hopefully make the move soon.
