I did get a quote from Toyota for the 2014 FR-S gaskets, assuming they were revised also. I was quoted $22 each side.
That's interesting!

My car is a 2014 build and the stock gaskets are still in perfect condition as I removed the tail lights when the car was 120km old.

Although I don't recall any difference in the thickness of the gaskets between the tail lights i removed, and the TOMs ones. I'll take a closer look and report back

I'm going to wash the car for the first time this weekend, so I'll have a look afterwards and see if any moisture makes it through on either side.

I had a look today and the gasket that came with my TOM'S lights is exactly the same thickness as the lights I pulled out of my January 2014 built BRZ. The only difference is that on the TOM'S lights, the gasket isn't glued to the lights on the upper edge like it is on the stock lights.

I haven't gotten around to washing the car yet, but they are predicting rain tomorrow so I'll keep you posted on any leaks.

Drove in a massive rain storm and washed my car today. Happy to report no leaks or fog.

I put together a quick video explaining the problem and how to best avoid it....

Very nice! Thanks for doing that. I'll have to check mine again to see if there's a lot of build up and if I can tighten them down even more.

The 1s delay is normal. The electronic flasher works different'y from a normal one. Don't stress.

Just installed the TOMs this weekend. Install was pretty easy, but taking off the stock flasher was a BITCH! I spent half an hour trying to get the thing out, even with flat head screw drivers and stuff. I hope I got my torques right for the tail lights as I didn't try to tighten them too hard because of the plastic.

For anyone having trouble with the flasher, I found it easiest to lay upside down in the footwell, then pop out the clip from the metal bracket. Then you have much more room and leverage to separate the flasher from the clip.

My old flasher has a small chunk of plastic missing from it. I tried the flathead screwdriver, but that didn't work for me. I was probably pulling/prying in the wrong direction

I didn't take a picture, but the back side of the clip sort of looks like this. I just wiggled it back and forth and it popped out.

It's been raining here constantly for the past 3 weeks. Over 1000km in the driving rain now and still no fog or moisture to speak of.

It looks like the instructions in my earlier video work

I wonder why they don't use that sticky black goo on this car from factory to seal the tail lights like they do on most other cars? It's almost like they want to make changing the tail lights as easy as possible!

I'm having trouble with the REPIN part and I think I'm at my wits end, I bought the JDM TOMS because theyre cheaper and I think they look sexy.

I went to the FT86 reddit but hey I don't think it would hurt to post here.

I'm taking a break before I just go on a rampage, and I feel like the more I keep messing with this damn harness the more I'm messing it up and the tail light might not even work. http://imgur.com/a/tGA9m
Here's the picture can someone explain to me like IM 5 YEARS OLD how to do this because apparently this link right here isnt making me understand it and I'm just getting mad af. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40235
You can call me a dumbass all you want idc as long as you can help me fix this or do this. I JUST WANT TO INSTALL MY RED JDM TOMS!!!!!!

UPDATE: So I'm SUPER CONFUSED NOW, apparently I didn't need to REPIN ANYTHING? Because when I repinned the red and yellow, the sexy nike looking TOMS didnt work but when I turned on my turn signal they worked so I'm like WHAT!? I thought it was REPINING it to PREVENT THIS. So I don't repin on my passenger side BAM EVERYTHING works fine. I was like did they send me a DOT approved one!? I watched every youtube video of what they do and it works fine? SO I go back to my drivers side and REPIN to how it originally was and BAM EVERYTHING WORKS FINE!
So apparently I didn't need to REPIN ANYTHING LOL is it something with the tail lights? Or anything after 2013 models idk? Ill send a link of what I got. I was going to buy the DOT approved ones but they were sold out I told those guys send me the red JDM ones instead then. I'm so confused I can post a picture up of all my lights if you want me to, but I'm pretty sure after watching all the TOMs youtube videos they work like they're supposed to.

Sorry to drag up this old thread, but...

Does anyone have the pin outs *before* repinned for US?

I have a set of US spec that I need to switch to UK/EU/JDM. The pin outs are exactly as shown in the OP:

I need to do the reverse of you guys - so what was your starting point, please?
