How's it look? I did notice at one point IAM went down to .88, but then the rest of the time I logged it was back at 1 and later I watched the data viewer real time and it stayed at 1 anytime I was watching.
Looks fine to me. I wouldn't be concerned with IAM going down to .88 for a brief period of time and then quickly climbing back up to (and staying at) 1.00. If you see this behavior having routinely, it may be worth trying a different gas station or detuning the map slightly if that makes you feel more comfortable.

I just did the datalogging on Stage 1 V1.56b map. with Avo Silicon inlet, Motiv Catless Front pipe, Nameless axle back
http://www.datazap.me/u/zc06kissther...4?log=0&data=1

somehow, except time and engine speed, all other fields shows as colum1~11

FIXED file!
http://www.datazap.me/u/zc06kissther...0&data=1-2-8-9

when i compare this datalog file from my previous tune, it seems very similar. i guess looks ok?

EDIT: i updated template file and shows all colums now!

I'm not sure exactly how to read this brief log. Quick 3rd gear pull:

did a quick log for normal city driving as requested by steve99.

http://www.datazap.me/u/nardi330/oft...4-6-7-10-11-12

i'm running 1.55 stage 1 A01G rom on Aussie spec manual 86.

it's not a 3rd gear WOT to redline pull.

any comment is appreciated.

Unfortunately, there isn't too much useful info in there. Just a bunch of partial throttle city driving. Next time, do some single gear WOT pulls (2000-7500rpm) in 3rd gear and we will be able to make a useful analysis

Hi Shiv,

thanks for your reply. I understand I need to do a WOT pull in third which i will do this saturday on a dyno.

Steve99 asked me to assist him with data logging some normal driving for him as he has some issue with IAM dropping. so I thought i would also post my log here.

Quote:
Its one of the parameters you can now log with OFT.

It never used to work with our G series ROM's but with update it now works.

The parameters toy need to log are

engine speed RPM
Engine load
IAM (ignition advance multiplier
Knock Correction

any others you like up to 12 parameters.

I had noticed my IAM dropping in generall driving due knock detection. If the IAM drops below 1 to avoid knock it pulls ignition advance from entire rev range reducing power.

Noticed this was happening driving arround in traffic when cruising around at less than 4000 rpm.

Umm, your IAM starts at 0.18 and gets up to 0.29 by the end of the drive.
You have feedback knock at 2900rpm, 0.65 load.

Did you just flash the tune or you've been driving on this for awhile?

Flashed 2-3 weeks now, driven around 100km.

i think there are issues with my OBD2 extension cable. maybe i will just plug OFT straight into OBD2 port and try again.

I doubt that is the issue.
What mods do you have, what fuel are you running this on?

I don't think there is any problem with the obd connection or the oft just would not log. log is fine but you look like you have been getting enough knock corrections to be dropping your IAM (ignition advance multiplier) from the normal condition of 1 to around 0.2 to 0.4.

This is not going to destroy an engine or anything but it is pointing to out aussie 98 RON is not as good as USA 93 AKI fuel for low rpm high load knock resistance.

as the engine is detecting knock at low rpm high load (city driving) is is reducing the IAM which retard the timing and robs engine of power so you don't get max benefit from tune.

When IAM drops below 1 it reduced the timing (knock correction) advance for the entire rpm range by in your case by 70 to 80 % this is probably pulling 2 to 5 degrees from you timing across the entire rev range.

Their are two options one is run higher octane fuel ie united 100 octane is about all we have in OZ or pull a bit of timing from the problem area which should keep your IAM up around 1.

I am currently running 100 octane and IAM was dropping slightly to 0.7 at worst and not very often. I modded by advance map in a few places only pulling -0.35 degrees and it solved the IAM drop now 1 when running 100 RON.

Will try on 98 once my tank runs down.

I can send you a ROM with the corrections if you want to flash it and try.

Or I can just send you the corrections and you can edit it yourself in RomRaider.

This depends on which 98RON, caltex is ridiculously bad.

I have only used shell 98 (V power) or united 100 Octane, but IAM 0.2 did look pretty ordinary
