You'll love the mirrors! I also got them from @FT-86 SpeedFactory. It took me a few days to get used to the difference though but I love them now!

I haven't been able to find a phone mount that didn't put the phone in an awkward or stupid place in this car, so I got fed up looking and made one myself out of 18 gauge aluminum. The paint didn't come out all that great, but the crappy bits are mostly hidden, so I'm not going to worry about trying to fix it.

This is the bracket. The hardest part was getting that skinny bend in the middle to wrap around the lip on the bezel of the head unit.

Mounted on the car without the dash trim:

It mounts to the upper bolt on the head unit mount, wraps around the edge of the head unit and sticks out between the head unit and the trim bezel.

And here it is all put back together, with the phone mount attached to the bracket. That's the mount from an iOttie One Touch, held on with velcro so that I can remove it easily if I need to take it off the car for some reason.

I thought it came out all right, and it's functional if not perfect. I wish someone would actually make something like this commercially.

Yes as always! I just need some coil packs that can take the heat from sustained track abuse!

Ah, getting ignition loss on the track sucks.

Get a chance to run with Jeremy and Yo?

No, I'd love to though.

Your next project should be some little laser cut bolt on heat shields for the coil packs. Seriously.

Interesting. I've looked at some heat shield possibilities but didn't think about remaking them.

Check it out : http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30879

There's no definitive solution to this but I'm confident it's directly related to repeated exposure to excessive heat from the header/OP in our oven of an engine bay.
