For a short period of time we had them incorrectly listed on our site for $135.00 as you know. Many of you seized the opportunity to place orders at this severely discounted price and are awaiting those orders to be shipped out. Due to the amount of orders that were placed at this discounted price the orders are currently on hold and have not shipped out. We have been working feverishly for the past few days with the manufacturer to come to a satisfactory resolution that is beneficial for all three parties, you, the manufacturer and our business.

In an effort to be transparent and upfront with each of you supplying this many headlights at this price would be a massive loss for our company; however we understand the nature of the customer experience it would bring if we were to eat that loss. This puts usin a very difficult position as we would love nothing more than to satisfy each of you on this board and build a long lasting relationship with all of you. However there are a few possible outcomes that could result when we come to a conclusion with the manufacturer. We aim to have a deadline with a resolution for you by close of business Monday 3/17/2014.

In a nutshell, we made a mistake, and are trying to resolve it as fast as possible. We ask for yourpatience and will update you as soon as we come to that resolution.
After reading this thread you are all very passionate auto enthusiasts and as customers I can appreciate the emotions that drove this thread. Please bear with us a little longer and I will keep you updated here. In the meanwhile we are now a sponsor of your wonderful forums and look forward to posting up deep discounts and contests in the future for Scion FR-S products.

I hope this at least leaves a little transparency and apologize that this has taken so long for us to react to. We’ve been fighting to try to get these shipped out for you. I will be in touch!

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Marc M.

Thanks for the update and welcome to the forum! I really do hope you can come to a reasonable agreement with the winjet manufacturer, I am really looking forward to these headlights. I'm actually curious how many headlightys were purchased at the incorrect price?

Looking forward to all the awesome deals on more FR-S/BRZ products.

Cheers!

Ship them to everyone that ordered at your cost. Sounds win-win for both parties here.

I currently am not prepared to pay that price as for me to pay that price, by the time they get to Canada with shipping, duty fees, brokerage fees and what not, I would have been better off buying them from the local shop.

Then you get a refund. One problem down, who's next?

Good on CARID for posting here, been waiting for some kind of response. Appreciate you trying to honor your sales while also understanding the fact that's a lot of costs you have to eat if you do.

Communication is key, best of luck to all parties involved.

Thanks for the update. I know you guys will come to your own decision but may I suggest if the orders do go through you make a 2 per customer max? This way those who ordered for themselves + friend will get the headlights and those who ordered to make a profit wont. This may recuperate some loses :/

If I were all your (as in ft86club members) lawyer, I would say do NOT post anything on this thread and ride it out. Obviously this isn't a legal thing, but saying more is a bad thing here. I doubt anything anyone can say will sway the decision being made.

Please, guys, don't make the same mistake twice. We have an official response, we don't need you speaking for all of us customers.
Don't pin them in to something, don't give them a way to cop out, just be patient.

Getting close to honoring the deal would put a HUGE amount of faith, on my part, into carid. Take a loss for those who ordered 1 or 2 sets and gain a long time customer.
