Yep, classic user error. In hindsight I was lucky many other times in that I hit the stop button in time. I guess a nice failsafe feature for forgetful guys like me would be to auto-stop(save) the log if engine RPM hits 0, or something to that effect.

Another issue I ran into was a "stuck" ambient temperature reading. In the following log I used the updated channel count to watch Oil/Water temps on my drive to work:
http://datazap.me/u/r2/mar-7-14-driv...ata=1-10-11-12

As you can see, the ambient temperature was reading properly. In the log I made on the drive home (file is at home I believe so unfortunately I can't share it), the ambient temperature was stuck at -40F (after the OFT update that day the reported temperatures changed from Celcius to Fahrenheit). In subsequent logs the ambient temperature worked fine.

After each datalogging firmware update (in this case, changing C to F), you will need to go back to the configuration menu and then to Realtime Data for it to log properly. But I'm sure there will be reports of similar issues for the next week or so while make more changes and updates. Once done, I don't expect such issue to continue. Thanks for the feedback

Definitely not ignoring you We are in the process of configuring and programming 100 OFTs in time for UPS pick up today. So i'm just bouncing in and out of the forum when time permits.

As you know i have the vortech sc kit with headers,exhaust,91 gas etc.

2 questions.

I forgot to mention to i have the Omni 3 bar map when Visconti sent me the Ecutek, i have noticed that the SC kit comes with a 2.5bar will this be an issue with the map you are sending me?

Also on 91 gas map can i use 93 gas with out remapping?

Our OFT300 OTS map is intended for use with the MAP sensor that comes standard in the Vortech kit. So if you don't have that same sensor, I would highly advise you get it. I'm sure Vortech will sell it individually if you requested.

Probably best if you email sales@vishnutuning.com. I don't handle that side of things unfortunately. All I can see is a giant pile of OFTs sitting in the middle of the office waiting to be dropped off at UPS.

I'm really baffled now.

Original 12 channels: works

Original 12 - exhaust VVT + fuel system status: works
Original 12 - exhaust VVT + IAT: works
Well @shiv@vishnu, now I'm REALLY baffled.

Pulled a log off last night that is the original 12 channels, intake and exhaust VVT removed and IAT + fuel system status added, and it worked. The exact same combination that failed the day before.

Has anything new been pushed down in an update?

I'll try some more combinations, but it looks like it might be resolved. No clue what did it though.

Tried logging this morning... Logged successfully, saved successfully, but when I go to read it in OFM 1.07 the program crashes. Any tips?

^^ Go through all my posts in this thread to see the steps I've taken. Mine is magically working again, I've yet to find a combination that won't work now, but before every combination was failing.

Hi guys
New update is available this morning through autoupdate. Still same firmware number (124). But updates/fixes include:

1) Auto configuration of data log channels. Whereas before, after each firmware update, you would need to go to Configure Data Channel screen before Realtime Data was functional, now the OFT configures the data channels automatically to the original 12 channels (first 12 in list). Of course you can still go in there manually and change the channel selections if so desired.

2) Knock correction now read 0.00 deg instead of 0.02 deg

Cheers,
shiv

Not sure what fixed it but it works now.

I re-downloaded and updated the latest template from the site and re-installed OFM. After the latest update to 1.24 from 1.23, the original 12 channels log fine without crashing OFM.

redownloaded and reinstalled everything, configured to original 12 data channels, and logged and pulled the data log succesfully. when i tried customizing the data channels, everything goes fine until i try to pull the log off with OFM. i even tried the download log option rather than data logging. i reconfigured the 12 original data channels and it works flawlessly. not a huge issue, as those are all good channels for making sure its a sound tune, but id realy like to be able to log oil/coolant temps at the track.
