where to get wheel + tire for under $1800 in GTA?

I have my heart set on Enkei T6S 18x8, but i'm open to any summer tire brands. What's a reasonable quality tire that's cheap? in GTA...

keep in mind that tire price should be budgeted over seasons

the Yokohamas i'm gonna buy for this summer arn't gonna cost any more or less than a basic all-season, but they will be toast by September, whereas the regular tire (hell, even the OEM primacy) will last 4 or 5 summers depending on use.

So if your not going to hit the track at all this summer or otherwise, then don't be afraid bumping your tire budget up for a quality summer tire that will last you for a long time.

Why don't you call Tire23 or Wheels Direct and see what they can offer you. Sometimes there are factory rebates, other times some tires go on sale for much less than typical pricing depending on stock level / availability. Just know what tire specs you are going with so they can give you a quote readily from the computer.

How much do those rims typically go for anyway? Hard to give you suggestions when we don't know what your tire budget is.

Personally, I have had very many good experiences with simply tire. Hitup @Zook@SimplyTire for a quote. I'm not being paid to do this, just a very satisfied customer through the years.

Yeah they were beating out all my other quotes for OZ's, however, based on cash only.

I think the cheapest summer tire is called General UHP. The treat pattern looks very all season tho. I think Conti makes General Tires.

The generally affordable good summer tire is Yokohama S-Drive, but I didn't like them in the wets. Falken FK452 is also another generally affordable model.

I wonder if it's a little cheaper with Toyota recommended stagger setup: 215/40/R18 front and 225/40/R18 rear (but they are recommending Dunlop Direzza Z2). STI recommends square setup 225/40/R18 at all four corners with Michelin PSS.

Goodyear/Dunlop tends to get really loud after only 10k and not very strong sidewalls but amazing at shedding water (I've had SP-Sport 01).

Wheels Direct told me Michelin is generally king with good compounds these days.

Michelin PSS is king in wet and dry performance. I really don't get people who cheap out on tires; they are the single most important component in terms of dollars to performance increase, not to mention most important to safety.

In my opinion, nothing beats the PSS in terms of wet/dry performance, comfort and durability. Tires are such an important aspect when it comes to performance and safety and as such, you get what you pay for.

Spend the money on a decent set of tires.......

Yeah, based on the "equivalent" tire from Falken, expect to pay about $50 more per tire for the Michelin. I've tried so many different brands of tires in the roughly 20 years I've owned cars. One thing I've learned is get the best tires you can for your money. Every person is different though and tires are an extremely subjective subject area. I just find that cheaper tires tend to wear horribly, typically require more weight to be balanced and usually suffer significantly in one or more performance categories. The PSS seems to do everything really well.

I agree, hands down the PSS is the best all around tire for an enthusiast. Great wear with great grip.
