Contacting Toyota's 1800 number

G'Day Ladies and Gent's,

I saw in another forum some people saying they have been calling the Toyota 1800 number from the Web Tracking App to find out there build month. Anyone here tried it ??

I just gave them a call and got told in their 'system' they got my car down as a november build which is subject to change. this also means december/jan delivery.

my dealer told me it was going to be a september build/october delivery. i knew this wasn't going to happen.

don't know if i can wait any longer. might just end up buying the next GT that comes available.

all i gave them was my batch number and they found it. but yeah the guy i spoke to 'shaun' couldn't give me details as to how accurate the 'novmber' build date was. he said its very hard to say at the moment being in such high demand etc.

I called them about a month ago.

Was trying to get an explanation of why there isn't a proper pre-order system.

They couldn't help me. They said it is what it is, and was really rude and unhelpful about it.

I finished off with a, "thank you, great customer service" Made me feel better, but didn't help my cause.

i think those who ordered around june/late june/ julyish will have build months in november or december or possibly jan. meaning delivery december onwards.

i've been without a car for 8 months now and i kinda regret cancelling and not buying that white GT i had on order that was delivery in july.

i think i may revert back to my initial order if i can find one unallocated arriving sept/oct. if possible.

Getting to that point now where im thinking "F*** IT", i'll just settle with the base even though i want the cluster and centre console of the GTS. (((

Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm actually getting to the point of considering not getting an 86 at all. The whole situation with how Toyota are handled everything with this car from price release to now is really starting to grind on me !!
