If I'm not mistaken, pop-ups are labled a safety hazard to pedestrians, and are not allowed on new car designs since ~2000

Anyone confirm / deny? I remember hearing something like that back when the vette changed from pop ups to fixed lights.

I'm not sure if they are outright banned, but I've read ECE regulations (and probably other countries too) began enacting pedestrian safety laws, which restrict protruding objects from cars, which "makes it more difficult and expensive to design compliant pop-up headlamps." I can't find the link right now, but I swear I read somewhere 2005 was the year this change took effect. That makes sense, since the 2004 Corvette and the 2004 Lotus Esprit were the last two production car's with pop up headlights.

$20,407 USD (at current exchange rate)
probably rounded up to $22,000 or something id guess
australia is in a similar boat with inflation ay. we pay around 40-50% more for cars that we have here in comparison to usa, and almost on par with you brits
sorry to reveive a old post btw, im new here :p

Not to be rude or anything, but that's PS the current STI into it & made it coupe. Nothing really special & I think, Subie fan has seen that pic over few dozens time before.

I think, it's same every where in the world for coupe Impreza. Coupe Impreza is one of my fav car of all time (that's why I own one)... but sadly, they went w sedan instead of coupe...

and for the current hatch and that PS STI looked same to me. you can PS around the rear window a bit and make it sharper looking and here and there edit... or am I the only one see it?

Was it you that did the photoshop of the hatchback FR-S/216a? That is what a Subaru 3door should look like.
