Or simply offer a delete option for the track/competition model, Lotus style.

What he said. The evora is more "911 turbo" than "911 GT3".

Fixed.

Edit: Oh, and I think it would be a bad idea for Toyota to make this thing too light on the base model... Too light means no amenities, and people need their power windows... but I hope the stripped down track version is about 1000kg. Here's hopin', eh?

Yeah.. that's true, I probably won't leave the factory speakers and stuff in there.. but I would like it pre-wired with all holes cut and everything.
(Pre-strung RCAs fitted with female connectors in trunk would be HEAVEN, but I don't see that random bit of niche convenience going into a production vehicle. It'd just be nice to be able to simply pop jumper RCAs into the wall of the trunk, rather than pulling apart the interior to string RCAs..)

They've announced a projected production date, and it's not real soon.
Sorry.

I don't know... if you consider that production would likely start sometime in the middle of next year for the 2012MY, I'd say that's not incredibly far off.

The way that Toyota the FT-86 is like they only resurrect the "AE86 LEVIN", cause the AE86 TRUENO came with a pop-up lights...maybe Toyota should have this 2 variants so customers will have something to decide which ones to buy.
