I usually do chevron and aQt. The busier ones usually are better, but watch out for slow pumps. I was told when they're slow its caused by a clogged filter which can allow unfiltered gas into your tank.

In all seriousness, there was a point my IAM dropped to .38

Coincidentally, the I filled up with Chevron that tank. It was the one right off of Idahoe and the 60. Never again from there...

So bad gas has been an issue. I know most of the guys in the FI V8 crowd like QT.

I've been told by Clark Turner that he can tell when a turbo Subaru has been running Chevron long term... Partly by the power loss.

I've only (if possible) used QT since.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Odd that of all the well known gas "brands" that QT of all places seems to be a top option. What's the word on Circle K?

Qt is more convenient for me. Looks like I will be going there henceforth. Shell on baseline and McClintock has been running well for me too.

I kind of feel like it was the obvious answer right under my nose. Of all the convenience stores it's the only chain that is consistently clean, we'll lit, managed by people that don't look like the undead, etc

I'm guessing they maintain their hardware better too. Pumps n whatnot

I get mine from Costco most of the time, seems to be good quality and only 3.43 for premium. You ever fill up on regular?

After researching around a little (totally not scientific) I settled on Shell V-Power. Then later I found this video:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTaBngvsPrc"]Fifth Gear Fuel test - YouTube[/ame]

Although they're mainly comparing UK gas and whether or not it helps non premium cars, I figured it did pretty well. I've been happy so far and there's one close to the house.

Found the thread I found that video in:

I would be curious to see how 87 ran in our cars. I wonder if it's about pre-detonation in the engine or if the mfg wants you to have the best power.

Personally, I've been buying premium fuel for the last 8 years. I never put anything but premium into the 2.5i Subie I had

So I'm replacing my current all-season tires (Eagle GT W-rated) with some michellin Pilot super sports. Anyone know of anybody that has a screaming deal on a set in 225/45-17?

On that note, does anyone want to buy a set of Eagle GT W-rated tires? Only <5,000 miles on them, no repairs or even noticeable wear. Make me an offer.
