Let us know how it turns out for you!
My Monogram should arrive some time next week from the Oregon port (a long way from Chattanooga, TN), and I'm assuming it will arrive on a truck. I'm looking forward to taking that first picture of the odometer with <10 miles on it. Why is it coming into Oregon instead of Jacksonville, FL? I have no idea, and apparently my dealer doesn't have a good answer. As long as it arrives with only a few miles and looks/drives like brand new, I'm ready for it! So, I have driven the FR-S that the dealer already has on the lot, but then ordered the Monogram... I should still drive it before signing papers, right? Just to make sure something's not wrong with it? |

Personally, while mileage in general doesn't bother me - the lower it is, the less chance of young hoonigans practicing how to drive stick at the dealer on my future car.
To illustrate this point, my BRZ when I bought it had 5 KM on the Odometer... I got to check it before the dealer checked the car in. Kept all the interested documents and what not taped to the car from the factory (can't read it though, it's in Japanese). The only person who drove it before me was the tech who brought it in for cleaning and fuel up.

I might sound stupid but it bothers me that my first new car has 80 miles when i have a picture proof it was delivered on a trailer and that my salesman said a new car shouldn't have more than 45 miles on it....

If you really think a car will be irreparably damaged by transporting it from dealer to dealer you probably shouldn't buy a car in the first place. These are cars, not fragile antique works of art. They'll typically see more damage from transport on a ship, train or truck which the dealers will legally fix without you even knowing about it.
My dealer had to go out of state to get mine and it had 118 miles when I took delivery. A year later it still runs and drives perfectly with none of the problems many on here have had with theirs.
