Sunday morning I saw a CRV high centered on a guardrail on the 401. Not smashed at either end, still have NO clue how it got up on the guardrail without major damage to the front or rear of the car.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a similar thing but it was on a frozen snowbank. This was turning out of a residential street, so I had no idea how he could have gotten up that far on the bank.

I should have taken a picture.

18.5 degrees too cold. 19.0 degrees too hot.

Anyone else have this issue or is my body temperature f*ed?

It's probably humidity and wind chill. If it's humid or windy it'll feel much colder than a thermometer tells you.

This is the best save ever (I know it's not snow but slick road nonetheless).

Just no. It was sunny out. After he complained about having slick tires. He was probably running on the cords. Also, he was driving pretty fast compared to the rest of the traffic, and not in any particular lane. Pure luck he saved it, because his driving expertise is lacking.

As long as you're not dealing with uneven snow and high speeds, the car is very predictable and fun (found a nice subdivision with empty, unplowed side streets - had a blast).
However, I did take my sandbags out of my trunk one day for a drive - and it was a noticeable difference - I immediately put them back in.

Drove BRZ up to Newmarket yesterday, and on the way back down (in the middle of a big snowstorm), had no problems - did get nervous when I took a hilly road (Stouffville) and there was a line up though (kept my fingers crossed that the guys in front wouldn't stop and force me to claw up the icy hill).

BTW - does anyone notice that the heated seats don't really seem to heat up much (or quickly)?
And the front vent (on the dash for occupants) seems to be poorly-designed - the single horizontal slat doesn't do much to direct air up or down.

I'm tempted to take it in to the dealer to get the seats checked (my wife likes heated seats on cold days, and complains that they don't get very warm at all).
I picked up my BRZ about a week and a half ago, heated seats warm up real quick, and no issue with the vents. Definitely prefer the sport tech over my RIP FR-S
