Replacing Scion OEM Spoiler with TRD

I currently have the Scion OEM spoiler on my FR-S, but I'd like to replace it with the TRD version. Does anybody know if the TRD spoiler covers all the holes left from the Scion spoiler? I'm really hoping to avoid any plugs in the trunk.

Yes, @cfordart actually did this swap and it covers all the mounting holes just fine.

Replacing Scion OEM Spoiler with TRD

It covers but you have to drill a couple of new holes for the trd. Just did mine Saturday. btw, the oem is a biatch to take off due to all the double sided tape.

I just replaced the OEM Scion spoiler with a TRD on my Monogram 2 weeks ago. Yes it covers all the holes but you will have to drill 2 new ones as previously said. Just have a lot of time and patience to take off the OEM one because they sure used a lot of double-sided tape. Also if you bought a new TRD spoiler, it comes with some vinyl overlays to stick over the old holes. Enjoy!

Your new mono must not be white Trojan. Since you sold me a white trd. Which I'm loving btw! Thanks!

What's the best way to remove the OEM spoiler? Should I heat it up before trying to pull it off?

The OEM has 6 bolts and a bunch of good double-sided tape holding it on. It would probably come off better on a hot day, but I don't think there's a good way to heat it up if it's cold where you are. You'll just have to wrestle with it to get it to come off once you get the bolts loose. Body shop that took mine off said they thought they were never going to get it loose. Just saw you're in Nashville so it won't be hot for awhile. You might try working fishing line to cut the tape. Be sure to mask off around the spoiler to protect the deck lid.

Took me an hour to take off the stock spoiler. Used a heat gun, floss, string and force to get the stock wing off. Not fun at all, that industrial type double sided tape is no joke. But i dont like the stock wing. I also put a replica TRD. So no need for extra holes.

This is the direction I'd like to go in, do you mind posting a pic or two and a source for the replica TRD?
