OP and FP suggestions
Hey guys. I have the FT86SF catted header on order and just want to get some feed back on what OP and FP i should go with. The only prerequisite is I am going to run a catted front pipe to keep drone to a minimum because i DD my car 40+ miles a day with most of the time on the freeway going 65-75mph.
There are a bunch on the market and i can't seem to make up my mind. I like the quality of the JDL OP and FP. they look amazing. Invidia seems to be pretty popular and has some decent reviews. There is the Nameless combo pipe which is a cool idea combining both the FP and OP. Plus it has the option for the Helmholtz resonator. As of right now my car is completely stock so this will all be bolting up to the factor cat back. I might go to the FT86SF V1 but havent made my mind up on that yet either lol. So what do you guys think? |

Nameless Performance over/front pipe. Both pieces in one. Ridiculous build quality. Add the helmholtz resonator. That is what will eliminate the drone.

3rd person for the nameless pipe. Personally I would have gone for the JDL catted header but that's me.
JDL also makes very nice stuff so can't go wrong with their fp/op. I'd pick the cheaper of those two in the configuration you want.

Another Nameless here. The only other brand I considered was Motive.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm definitely leaning towards the nameless combo pipe now. Now just to decide on a CBE lol.

Stock, no issues. Although my Nameless 4-2-1 header should be shipping soon, fingers crossed.

I would make that decision after getting header and op/fp installed. They liven things up a lot.

I've been looking into the same thing. From my research, it seems like the brands I'm considering are Motiv, Perrin, Nameless, and JDL. I've just got in contact with Perrin and they no longer make their catted frontpipe. The frontpipe Motiv compared to JDL, seems like there are unnecessary welds combining several smaller pipes from the design of it, but im not sure if bending the pipe for Motiv has any effect on reduction of gases flowing thru the pipe. So for me any of the 3 is good - basically comes down to price.
You seem to be in the same boat as me - DD the car so want something relatively tame. I'm running on JDL UEL catless headers and plan on getting a perrin 2.5" resonated or q300.

Last night I pulled the trigger on the Nameless combo pipe with cat and res. I figure the quality looks to be up there with the best and it eliminates one more connection in the exhaust. Plus with a cat and res it should keep drone way down and make for a good DD set up. I'm really leaning towards the FT86SF V1 CBE. its louder than the Q300 but i will have a cat in my header to reduce sound right off the bat. i'm thinking the volume should be just a tiny bit quieter than this [ame]http://youtu.be/Js_0UqFnCwQ[/ame]

I havent looked into FT86SF V1 CBE. How is it compared to a 2.5" resonated Perrin, which is also a bit louder than a q300?
