Daily commute: I take it pretty easy. Maybe redline once/day for fun.

Windy back roads: Between 5/10ths to 7/10ths.

Track: Flat out for the most part.

She gets abused. Hard break in from day one. I redline it often but the wife drives it like an old lady. I figure if the car going to blow up it better be under warranty. I'm a firm believer in the hard break in method

I drive my car like a grandma all the time.. I try to be as responsible as I can while driving. The only real time I let loose is if it's a closed back road and I know there's no other vehicles on the road.

I drive in a manner that consistently averages 20-21 mpg daily driving...with zero drifting involved.

But who actually drives his car that way? I mean: how many of you actually drive the car like, well: the way it's made/meant to be handled. Going to an abandoned road or track and pushing the limits...(?)
And how many of you just drive the care like any other car, occasionally putting your pedal to the metal on a straight, dry, road (hoping you won't slip into the scenery ).

Many of us might never know how much fun this car could be, despite owning one. Naturally: drifting and riding 'on the edge' requires some skill. Still, I'm under the impression that I enjoy the GT86 without having the 'skills' like all those professional reviewers.
You dont need those professional skills to enjoy the car. What you need is a good foundation of driving theory, a BIT of experience, and a sense of humility and a desire to improve.

Come to a few track days ...and you will understand. "drivers" help "drivers" and we love to talk to people about driving and we love to help you have fun! At any good HPDE event you will drive at your own pace ..but your "pace" WILL quicken as the day goes on ..and you will learn the limits of your car.

Babied in the morning on my way to work (casual). Sideways around every corner on my way home when there's no traffic (drift). And driven hard on the mountain roads on the weekends (grip).
