As far as CSG's IAT measurements (which are great to see, thanks Mike), remember that these are post IC measurements. Really what his measurements show is that the whole system (intake / compressor / intercooler) works.
Changing an sc belt on the side of the road could be called an annoyance as well.

I like the idea of at least having a functioning water pump if the belt were to snap.

If anyone would like to volunteer, I'd like to get on-track measurements with a KW equipped car, so that I can make another thread showing ambient vs iat for the SC kits.

I already have data on the JR and Vortech kits.

Lap times are appropriate for the mods on each car, but more importantly, the amount of WOT time on the cars will be within a few percent, for the closest comparison possible, within reason.

Do you have data to actually prove that IATs are lower? It's difficult to get lower IAT than ambient...

My IAT's were around 28-30 degrees Celsius during my testing (albeit it was very short). So about 82-86 degrees. Temperatures did go up when the car sat at a red light, which I imagine is to be fully expected. I'm not saying the JR kit is worse, you've proven it isn't, but I imagine there are at least a few examples of kits with less than ideal locations for air intake. Ambient was around 73-75 degrees at time of testing yesterday.

It'd be nice to have an outside source do these test so it's non biased. Nothing against the guys at CSG, but I get strong feeling of bias everytime they post in a S/C thread lol.

Liking a kit because it's good doesn't make you biased. Liking it because you are related to the company/people behind it is.

Totally normal.

As you sit at a light, the IAT will go up, and as soon as you start moving, you'll see it drop, but it'll quickly go up again if you're at WOT. As long as you're matching ambient while cruising, the system is working. IAT goes up when you're sitting because the charge pipes are getting heated by the heat in the engine bay. As soon as air is flowing through the engine bay and the charge pipes (movement), it drops down.

What we'll be looking for is how much the rise is under extended WOT conditions; that'll expose how efficient the whole cooling system and piping solution really is.

So I noticed one thing that differed from my install... I mounted my rotrex oil cooler to the top of the a/c condenser with the inlet and outlets on the bottom in fears of it being easier to fall off the condenser if I mounted the brackets to the lower section. My ride is extremely harsh/stiff 10k/11k spring rates and dampening near max stiff to daily lol.(have mine also mounted offset to the passenger side).

Anyone foresee any issues that would arise from this? So far with about 1300 miles on the setup everything seems fine.

Have any of you owners of this kit managed to find an Engine Oil cooler kit that works around the KW setup? If not any hints when they will have one? Been "really" quiet from the KW guys in their upcoming stuff lately. Sorry likely wrong place to post, I'll also post this in KWs own thread but figured maybe some of you existing owners may have a more inside scoop?

^this. Specifically are there any clearance issues going with the OEM Forester oil cooler/warmer option? I started logging my oil temps pre-install to get a baseline. How high are temps getting post-KW install without an engine cooler?
