As far as I'm concerned, the Magnaflow doesn't get enough respect. The sound quality is very good...deep, with no drone, and a nice burble and grrr when you get off the gas or pull a shift. That said, if you are looking for something loud, this isn't the one for you. Even after adding an overpipe/downpipe with a hi-flow cat, it is neighbor approved.

One of my only regrets with this car is pulling the Magnaflow off to put a TRD cat-back on. Live and learn, I guess.

@normancw I think you're going to like yours once you hear it.

I found the same thing, wasn't loud enough for my taste. Only now that I've done a header and front/over pipe am I thinking that the magnaflow might have been ideal. I'll find out in the spring once the car is back on the road how loud it actually is with the invidia N1 and the rest of the exhaust completed.

As I understand it the q300 is quieter than the N1. The n1 is ideal for my personal noise requirements but it does drone at highway speeds. And yes I like the titanium tips as well... The blue goes with the white car so nicely.

The setup I have currently is the open flash non catted UEL header, nameless non catted non resonated w/helmholtz and the invidia n1 cat back.

It sounds great but it is loud reving it in the garage. Unsure how raspy it will be once it has load applied.

Most likely situation will be removing the nameless pipe and replacing it with a catted version of the same or I'll weld my own cat into the pipe since I already have the damn thing.

I would recommend wait till the first spring meet and listen to them all in person figure out what sound you like and go from there

This^^

Sound preferences are so subjective. Have a listen and see what you like.
