the bearing is bad @Marchy.

I just need a new shortblock.

this will probably be the final decision. because 1jz is unrealistic even if i can get a good price on the motor and trans.

i think you need a second opinion. Fill it with oil and drive to another dealer/shop.
it makes that knocking noise when I drive over 2000rpm, I would rather let it sit then drive to the closest toyota dealership around kirkland.

I'm not convinced that this thread isn't a big trolling by this guy. I mean, they way he talks doesn't even seem real.

Considering someone who knows him came on here and said that OP has no knowledge of his car makes me believe he really doesn't have any knowledge of the car.

The bearing was short @Marchy, nothing I can do for now except wait to talk to mom and dad.

They "said" it does that. They also "said" 10k miles. Why do you keep listening to them? Call corporate and talk to them. If you talk this ignorantly to the dealership as you do on here, of course they will take advantage of you. Call corporate before you do anything. And switch dealers.

I wanna bring back up that living with the parents thing since this thread is all over the fuckin place.

My 24 year old daughter still lives at home - she's a premed student.
My 18 year old daughter moved out in January of this year - she's a senior in high school.

everyone's different even though we treat them the same.

And my wife moved out of her parent's house at age 15, has been employed fulltime since, is starting up a non-profit, and is writing her PhD dissertation (also in school fulltime).

I don't love any of them any different because they either choose to accept help or not. People are motivated differently.

If your parents are cool with helping you out, awesome.

If you're motivated to go it alone at an early age, awesome.

This car definitely needs a stupid light... like my E39 has... Engine oil low in BIG AMBER LETTERS whenever the oil drops below the min mark in the dip stick.
