There is a post around here that has a guy parting out a clean front end on a total that would have a like new motor for u. Something about looking for a place to store it while he parts it.

If you're going to 2Jz swap, call the guys at PSI as they have experience with this and can give you an estimate. A 2JZ and Trans is not a cheap purchase tho and installing one will cost even more. I would love to see you do it tho as its probably my fav engine of all time. If you do go that route, Ron Liles at PSI is one of the finest 2JZ mechanics around and will take care of it like its his own. I've known him for years and hes amazing at everything he does.

Hope your warranty covers it tho!

But you have to do your own fact checking man, don't always take what people tell you at face value unless you are 100% certain this person knows their shit or other people will agree and correlate that information. People talk out of their asses all the time and spending 30 minutes with your owners manual (or 2 minutes if you just look up the maintenance section) or spending 2 minute using google to search the forum would have saved your engine.

anyway, hope your parents don't beat your ass too bad and that your girlfriend doesn't emasculate you on the forum. Good luck brother.

haha i was kidding @Marchy not going to jump bro. im going to tough this out. i been through worst shit then blowing an engine to my brand new sports car i had under less than a year. yenno

Also, don't overreact until you know for sure that they wont cover it.

Use this time and your energy to research your options, but dont allow yourself to stress about it til you know what is going to happen.

Lol my friend who's a mechanic at my local dealership said some lady came in with a busted engine, and when they inspected it, it was bone dry. She got covered by warranty haha.

exactly my point.

Was the check engine light illuminated? No.... There's your starting point for discussing this with the warranty team.

Now you have 2 things you can use to combat them.

1) No check engine light
2) Told to bring it in every 10k miles by their service tech who made fun of you for bringing it in at 3k miles each time.
