No offense taken cause I didn't make anything just like these guys. They just buy the cases and switch internals. Not sure why they doing it makes it more "legit" than anyone else doing it. Tho I am curious to why mine is less "100%" than theirs is. All my buttons work and we prob bought our fobs from the same place online.

Just seems like hype for some guys service which I'm not knocking just trying to keep things factual cause its all premade fob cases that are made in china.

I'm not trying to make any money here at all. Just trying to save some members cash as currently this thread seems to depict that these switchblades keys are made by these guys and that's simple not true.

+1. I think I posted in another thread regarding these guys. I myself ALSO have this keyfob, bought it myself on ebay for $15 w/ shipping.

Only difference between my fob and KLMs is the vinyl wrap for the CF look (which I am seriously considering doing haha, looks nice).

There's a DIY thread with this keyfob in it: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=17150&page=5

After checking out their facebook just looks like some FRS owners making some quick coin using review to misinform people about what they actually do and get free advertsing on a forum where they can make some money without sponsoring.

That's cool. I won't shit on anymore threads if you guys stop misinforming people that this KLM actually make these key fobs cause that some shady shit. Lets keep things to facts like yes all the buttons work, cf is a wrap and these key fobs are made in china or if you can come up with a logical reason why someone doing it themself would be less "legit" than sending it off to someone else to do.

This forum has had its share of bad vendors tricking members that we really don't need member tricking members too. Again this is all just my honest opinion.

Since this is a discussion thread and not a vendor thread my post should be prefectly okay.

Not everyone is a DIYer. Some people simply dont have the time to read directions, get a key cut at a local hardware store, have the knowledge/courage to take apart their OEM key, etc etc. What these guys offer is not an exclusive product per say, but excellent customer service/fast turn around at a pretty fair price. If you have the knowledge/time/skills to save $15 (their promotion price was $30 for one key and they don't charge shipping), good for you, but for those who don't, this is a GREAT option IMO.

I have the exact key but without the leather

One thing is these guys don't make the key fobs they just swap the internals into the new key fob which is all I did after buying the key fob cases for 12 bucks (2nd one was for a dollar) and taking the 20 mins to transfer all the parts over using the DIY I found on this site

Any novice diyer can do this mod. its dead simple.

My last post about this got deleted so I hope I worded this one in a way that doesn';t offend anyone.

Nice. I like this but hate the idea of sending the keys to my car through the mail. Did the ones you get have the Toyota emblem? Or could you get them with the Scion emblem?

Yes I completely agree with what you said. for those people who are too scared to do it this is another choice but reading this and the other thread about these guys there are mutiple post that suggest this is a tough thing to do and that if you don't send it off to these guys it won't be as good when that's just bullshit. Like I said if things were kept facial then I wouldn't even post in here.

I just wanted to let people know that they could do it themsleves pretty simply instead of shipping off both their car keys out along with their address to some random people on facebook which some people might be concerned with.

Another thing is you would save a lot more than 15 if you do both keys. I got two fobs for under 20 dollars when I bought mine and also know how to fix the keys if anything went wrong with them instead of having to ship back
