I'm happy when I break 25 mpg. Dude who is getting 400 per tank has a miracle car.

According to the dash, I average about 26 mpg. I don't really care enough to monitor it appropriately. haha

I'm hitting 19-20, but I'm still in my break-in, so I'm revving up to ~3700 rpm and back down and back up again as often as possible.

I've monitored my gas millage for every fill up I have had since I got the car just over a year ago (other than the first tank). I'm currently at my 37th fill up and the average is 26.80 mpg. I fill up to full when the light comes on with 93 octane if that makes a difference. That's mainly to and from work which is 14 miles with 90% highway driving. Next tank will bump it up with me currently at 240 miles and quarter tank left.

I drive fairly conservatively, but my 30-40 minute commute with a longggg highway section only results in 24-25ish mpg. It's pretty bad in my opinion. But I do have OFT.

Well OP if it makes you feel any better I live in LA and i mostly do city driving with heavy traffic on my way back home. I get 170-190 miles per tank. Yeah not the best results but for city driving with constant lights and stops not too bad i guess?

Just out of curiosity, what brand of gas do you use? I used to fill up with 93 gas at a station owned by a small chain out here, but after I filled up there for a while my mileage started to tank like crazy. I have a mostly highway commute and I averaged about 23-24MPG over the past few months. A few weeks ago I started filling up at a station with ethanol free 91 and my mileage went up by about 1-2MPG almost immediately, and is steadily improving. I assumed that because the gas was labeled 93 it'd be fine for the car, but the station must be using cheap gas or may need to clean the tank. The car seems much happier on the better quality 91.

On a somewhat related note the car started throwing codes related to the fuel pump and rail pressure sensor on startup about 2-3 months ago, which I assumed were due to a mechanical or electrical problem. I switched to the ethanol free gas as part of my own troubleshooting of the issue, and in addition to the increased MPG my startup issues went away completely. Between the increased MPG and reliability I'll happily pay a few cents more per gallon.

If you don't think your driving style is part of the problem it could be the gas you're using.

Or you could use Fuelly and track your MPG, fill-ups, and total miles driven. Does all the hard work for you and even plots it on a graph.

Winter blend of fuel will decrease your mileage. All my vehicles are getting terrible miles/tank.

I had the highest mileage when I first got my BRZ. After the initial break in, my mileage has stayed pretty consistent. 27-28 MPG and that is mostly city driving and a few WOT. I use Sam's Club 93 Octane. Never had an issue with it
