I got my uel headers installed on thursday. I already have the namelss dp/fp with invidia q300. Altogether they sound AWESOME. I can't stop smiling every time I drive my car!

I was just looking for another video to help make up my mind.
I'm ready to order something since the Tomei sold... but I'm still on the fence.
Q300, Milltek, or possibly Dezod... although I think it'll be a bit loud, and it's not available till April at the earliest.

If I cannot stand the bit of drone I get anymore, I am definitely getting the Q300 again. Probably the best looking, quiet sounding, crossflow muffler design out there at a great price. Perrin is about $100 more.

Unless JDL makes a killer resonated cat back, then I may be tempted to go with that.

I'm in the struggle for finding something that sounds great and is civilized, yet the autox side of me wants performance and lightweight.
Those two things just don't seem to mix haha

I was extremely surprised how mellow this car was with a full exhaust system. Our UEL, I believe 2.5" over pipe, 2.5" front pipe, and 2.75" resonated cat back. If weight is your issue you guys should look to loosing it other places. These cars get really obnoxious without a good exhaust or lack of I should say

@AZFA20 can you confirm your exhaust set up?

I had one of their mufflers on the exhaust I built for my time attack focus.
They're extremely lightweight and very well built.. but don't do much for sound deadening.
They're more for those sanctioning bodies that simply require "some sort of sound suppression device".

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if you want less sound, you're going to sacrifice having more weight to achieve that. Realistically, if you're comparing a 12 lbs exhaust to a 27 lbs one, I really can't feel the difference. Especially like the Q300 versus the N1. Don't feel any difference between both in the driver's seat.

It may be a matter of 3 mufflers using mid and axle back. I'm sure it can be done. Even if weight is not saved moving weight forward and down to the mid pipe is worth doing.

*JDL UEL header
*Motiv 2.5" overpipe
*Motiv 2.5" catted front pipe
*Greddy EVO 3 catback 2.75"

I find it to be a happy medium for sound with essentially a straight through system. Perhaps a 3" JDL overpipe and frontpipe should be in my future plans
