I have bypassed these lines on cars before and thats living in New England, never had an issue. These are the line I will pull coolant from for my turbo.

In terms of doing this as a mod for lower intake temps, I really doubt its worth it.

I bypassed my TB in about 10 minutes. It was easy and reversible. I should have done IAT logs before and after but I was being lazy. My results were positive, for my application. I still havent tracked the car hard since bypassing it so take it with a grain of salt. It may or may not make a significant difference on IATs while moving under consistent heavy loads.

without a probe in the intake manifold, getting accurate IAT's would be difficult as the car gets that information from the MAF sensor.

Well there you have it. This is inconclusive until someone adds a downstream temperature sensor.

Just removed the short U shaped hose going from the TB to the block, then put the coolant feed line on the fitting on the block. Don't need to cap the TB fittings.

See my build thread for pics.
