If there's any possibility of maximizing gains with a perrin CAI, that would be awesome as I want to keep it for the enhanced whine. While heel/toe downshifting, blipping the throttle had always been laggy with the perrin intake, both while I was NA and now that I'm boosted. Not sure if anything can be done about that but if there is I'd like to see some improvement with that intake.

I almost bought a used Airaid intake to swap out the box, but wasn't sure it was worth it. Curious to see if it yields any more power (and possibly increase that whine?

Given that the airraid intakes were showing a loss in power NA I'd probably avoid them for the innovate setup

I don't quite believe in the loss of power result. I think it's all in the tune. It's just a box and cone filter. A well designed one at that. I see and hear so much loss of power bullshit without substantiating the actual cause. It just takes one person or test to ruin something. I know the magazine test you are probably referring to where they tested a bunch of intakes. Besides, there are SO many factors in chassis dynameter testing that errors are bound to exist in the result.

Not to mention Bill had already experienced an additional 10whp when he put the airaid box on his car before it got the innovate blower. All in the tune

Also.. In MY case I'm not using half the Airaid setup since the intake path is now different. The elbow that ships with the kit is still sitting in the box. I have an aluminum pipe going from the supercharger/throttle body to the Airaid box. This alone changes everything. Any test out there is now invalid in my case.

So i'm pulling my blower tonight to make sure the rubber strip seals on top of the IC are still in place properly. For those of you that have removed the blower post IC install ( @Ryan86 maybe?), what's the least messy way of disconnecting the coolant lines that feed the intercooler?
