It doesn't have to be name brand but there are countless horror stories about shit dirt cheap parts. For the money why not just go to a muffler shop and have them make you something? Cost would most likely be comparable and you will have somewhere to go if the end result isn't to your liking.

I'm considering just going to an exhaust shop. I just don't know of any good ones around here.

I got a set of header and full exhaust on ebay for my cheap '98 civic I had. The fitment and finish way excellent(In the sense that it was descent). I can't comment on longevity.

And even with some "name" exhaust, people had issue here with some products.

On the subject of the thread, cheap exhaust is usually low grade stainless that will rust, won't fit well, and the mufflers are cheaply packed meaning they'll be loud to begin with and get louder as the packing blows out.

Actually Ryan @ nameless it's people with troll like attitudes that flame in forums about how anyone else with sub par performance parts are robbing their development cycles and taking money from their pockets , that will make honest performance companies close doors .

If someone doesn't have the money for a 1,100 TrD cat back setup it doesn't mean nameless performance ripped off anyone's development or designs does it ?
If so I would say you guys are robbing TRD as you read this .

Sadly we both know this is not the case . Yet it was necessary to spell it out , and show you the parallels between reality and performance company practices that you misrepresent on a soapbox in this forum .

Nameless performance will never get one purchase from me due to your attitude in these forums and further more I hope they see your flame like posting on here and get you to reel it in before you cost them more customers .

People get what they pay for , go cheap, expect problems with quality and sub par manufacturing processes .

I prefer to purchase my parts from US manufacturers as they tend to have customer service in internet forums to deal with any negative feedback / FAQ's while pulling in new customers by keeping a level head and even keel demeanor .

You raise a good point. It's a sob story for all the "high end" companies. At the same time, the "low end" companies are always garbage. It is often times assumed that the low end companies are always knock offs. We know this isn't true, but it takes away from the true "affordable" companies by classifying anything under $1000 as total-shit-trash-garbage.

I'm personally rocking a Tsudo catback and front pipe. I don't like Greddy or Nameless exhaust systems on this platform. I've heard a few Borla and Skunk2 setups on other cars. IMO, my "piece of shit" sounds ten times better (in many cases).

I'm not sure you fully understand the point that I was trying to make. I have no problem with cheap parts, or even Chinese made parts for that matter, as long as the design is original. My complaint was towards the knockoff companies, who produce low quality replicas of parts with zero manufacturing or material standards.

Comparing our parts to TRD? I'm not sure where you're pulling this from, as the design of the parts is nowhere near the same.

Both Jason and myself on these forums have done nothing other than to educate and inform any potential customers, and I'm sorry if you took my comment on the matter as anything other than that. We are a small company based out of La Center, WA, and are comprised of a group of enthusiasts. All of our parts are hand built at our shop, using American Made materials as well.

If in some way we have lost you as a potential customer, we'll be sorry to see you go, but you're entitled to your opinion, same as everyone else. However, if there is ever anything I can help you out with, just let me know.

Caution:

I bought the J2 Quad tip exhaust, and they also offer a dual exhaust that looks exactly like this one you have provided. More than likely they are the same exhausts being branded/sold differently. I have had my exhaust for 8 months and I have a lot of rust forming on the muffler section, the mid pipe and the tips are starting to rust around. At the time a 500 dollar exhaust sounded great but now I will have spent the 500, plus whatever it will cost for a reputable and real durable exhaust that will last me more than a year.
