I'm sure it's just a habit he hasn't grown out of. I remember when I was growing up in the 90s we would call each other gay and ***. Then it became dude. Then it turned into bro.

I still don't say bro.

I recommend the J2 engineering dual. Same price. A bit of fitment issues, but shrug, you do it once and then it's on... Sounds great, no drone (stock rest of exhaust). Seems to be holding up pretty well - had it almost 5 months now

and it's 2.75"

I appreciate that suggestion. I was curious about that one as well.

The N1 is a great exhaust. I'm really impressed with mine at the price point its at. Love the deep tone it produces. I wouldn't risk it with the knockoffs because the N1 is already at a great price point and they have a long reputation.

Get the Top Speed Pro off of ebay or their site. There are 2 versions of it (large muffler or dual canister) Both are cheap and are tested by a member on here.

I would pick up an N1 as it's only a couple bucks more (ok 200) but you wont have to worry about rust / leaks which to me warrants the 200 if you'd have to replace after x miles.

If you don't say bro anymore, then you grew up too fast.

I just want an exhaust on my car and I don't feel I need to spend $600 for an inexpensive muffler and some pipe. It's either something like this or one of the q300 clones at the moment.
It's not hard to have a good product when you steal someone else's design. The primary problem with cheap replicas that flood the market is not inherently the quality of the product, but the fact that it discourages non knockoff companies from spending countless hours and dollars doing research and development to come up with an original product.

By giving money to the knockoff companies, you are effectively signing the death warrant of many other companies who have enough ambition to pursue a new product offering instead of ripping off work that has already been done.

Based on the feedback from this thread and the rest of this forum, I don't think the legitimate companies have to worry about losing business to imitators. It sounds like a lot--if not most--people swear by name brand parts and wouldn't even consider a cheaper eBay knockoff. The remainder most likely learn their lesson after the first couple purchases anyway.

GT86_Nick, that is actuall advise I can understand. Did your friend say what part was crap quality or just that the entire line was no good?
Their entire line is garbage. I have another friend who had some tail lights test fitted on his Tahoe by them and not only was the fitment TERRIBLE the people who test fitted them cut so many corners it was ridiculous the oem bulbs didn't fit with their holes in their lights so they slapped some electrical tape on the back and put the lights back on the car. Just a little background story on their work.
