clear bra

Got a local comp here in fl to do only front bumper for $300. 8mm 3M with 5 yr warranty. Or can buy clear bra on ebay for $150 and attempt to do it myself.

That's a decent price. I would have it done if you have never done it. It is worth the extra money to have it done right. It is very easy to screw it up. Maybe try and have them throw in the mirrors with that price.

Skip it. There's nothing like freshly clayed and polished paint, chips and all.

To each their own I guess. The amount of stone chips these cars get, make a nice clay and polish a complete waste of time IMO.

Do it! Subaru makes soft paint. Nothing beats NO rock chips on your bumper and hood!

With Clearshield you can and should wax the film just like a cars paint. I am sure it is the same with other brands as well. Do not clay it though because you will mark it up.

Had mine done last year in June and looks like new still as long as you take care of it.

You have to take care of it just as you would the rest if the paint, except that it you mess up the film you just pull it off and have fresh paint underneath. :-)

Have it on my front end, front half of hood and fenders and mirrors. Love it. These cars are low down in the front and will collect a ton of chips without it. Here in North Florida it really is good for the Love Bug season.
