So I learned something I think I should have known before this: The differential oil is supposed to be changed with the engine oil, every 7500 miles. I wonder when the last time the dealership actually changed it mine.

So I've got some motul 300 on order, well see how it goes. transmission oil change was easy enough, once we figured out how to actually get the oil up into the tranny.

7500 on diff oil? Seems a bit excessive to me.

Yeah, because if I pull the oil out to "inspect" it, there's no reason to put it back in.

Harbor freight has a little pump that works well for filling or emptying hard to reach places

I bought a little pump and it ended up leaking real bad, but there was another one just like it at the auto hobby shop here that worked like a charm.

It's worth every penny to pay the little extra for the Motul bottles w/ built in spouts. Done and done, no mess, no pump, no mixing fluids.
