There is a correct 370Z in our region, and he just bought RE11's for it. I'll codrive with him soon and see what the score is...
we currently run 245 bfg rivals. i personally love them better than the 235 z2's we used to run.

we have jeff stuart in our region in his 370z and we are not too far behind right now.

it is still early in the season so i guess we will wait to see how it goes

you guys sure have an abundance of course workers ahhaha.

is it just me, but don't you get weary that there will be a good amount of your time where you have to have a car to your back?

I saw the pictures of those mounted on the 7" wheels next to the unmounted ones. I'd be interested to see that same picture next to a mounted 225/45, 235/40, or 235/45. It just looks to me like the tires are so pinched that the shoulder is halfway up the sidewall, that just doesn't seem very beneficial to me. That works with some R-comps like the A6 because the bead is more inset to the shoulder, so the sidewall is still mostly vertical and the shoulders aren't rolled up into the sidewall. Visually it is very different than that street tire.

Yes, we had quite a few workers. The site is an active airport, and the far right side (as viewed from the start) is an active taxiway. We could not stand over there, so all workers were stuffed in between

I'd love to see BFG come out with a cantilevered carcass similar to Hoosier. This car's weakest link is the small wheels, IMO.

Then again, look at F1 tire/wheel packages. LMAO

I'd prefer the hankook over the BFG in a cantilever design

Good stuff John, nice to see you're starting to get more comfortable with the car.

Speaking of tires and going with smaller diameter, I'm interested to see what someone like yourself with STi shifting experience could do on a set of 16" wheels and appropriately sized tires. If you're going to be in 3rd anyways, might as well get more acceleration throughout. I think it's worth a try with how stupid slow the car is.

Agree, but 16" tire selection is limited and likely to become even more limited as time goes on. I definitely considered it early on, but the 225/45/16 Z2 (the only shorter choice) is only 0.5" shorter than the 235/40/17. Seemed like not enough improvement for the trouble. Plenty of choices on 17's.

Fair enough, I'll take the answer. I haven't exactly done any research, so there's that.

Hey now, my car is still currently built for Street, so I can still ask questions.

What do you think about a 205/50/16 or 215/45/16? I'm going to stick with 17s, but I wanted to try 16s.

John, I'll see you at the College Station event and we can exchange some notes. I just got some new ZII's in 225/45.
