Whatever happened to the discounts the government was suppose to impose? Wasn't it like 15% discount or something. What a load of bullcrap.

Honesty doesn't always pay off.

I was once refused insurance (I was switching company to save money) on the basis I had a high risk driver in the household (my roomie had multiple claim / insurance), and they wouldn't insure me no matter what, even if he was never going to drive my car. Which sucked because I was about to save 40-50$ per month.

I put the exhaust on for a better sound nothing more, its fully catted and has the resonator, I got it because it was a quieter one.
My problem is they are 1/3 the price of all other quotes I have and now that I've told them it's there odds are they will ask for an inspection before I can get insurance. I kept all of the stock parts so i can go back to stock but I don't want to stay that way forever. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts?
Is this under TD Meloche Monnex?

Try "Cassidy and Young" (Spelling might be a bit off there).

I've heard that they are cool with mods, although it might affect your rate. They won't cancel you outright just for mods.

they are a broker, not the actual insurance company, so even if they are cool with the mods, the companies that they represent (and you are subsequently insured with) may not be.

Although they may know which companies are more lenient with modifications......

I dont know about NB, but in Ontario, they're supposed to provide you with an option of signing an exclusion form if you have a high risk driver in your household.

I'm going to call them to get a copy of the clause about modifications in the contract. See if I can get a hold of someone who knows what they are talking about. I'll keep you posted.

Just called them. Sounds like if you are in an accident with mods the vehicle you hit will be covered and damages will be covered. Your vehicle may not be and the company may deny your insurance.

TD is terrible, they will only insure your grandmother.

Try Belair Direct, they're much better about it. They didn't care that I had rims or an axle back exhaust.
