How are you giving work out advice if you don't even work out? It also puzzles me how you have more post than me on this car forum and you don't even have an 86 (yet).

lol if you reply plz provide the cliff notes. I don't have time to read a life story.

Here is a line to keep it very simple for you: Cause I used to be a pretty good athlete and worked out for a decent amount of time. I like how you twisted the words to " don't even workout"... to imply that I have never worked out before... when what I did actually say is that I don't workout anymore.

Nice shot! I really do like how people like to keep attacking me using " oh you don't even have a 86"... although it really has no point. There are tons of people on here who have not bought one yet.

Wanna find another way for a personal attack or to discredit me?

Also, you biggest asset in working-out is not your numbers but the knowledge you have in your head... which you seem to have a lot of.

Usually when people mention the big 3 or even refer to them as that... they are in the bodybuilding business. Perhaps that is what has brought all this adversity to your door? In terms of fitness... I would be more interested in how many pullups, pushup, situps you can do and how fast you can run a mile or 3 miles. I have not thoroughly read through this thread to know for sure if you have already mentioned that. Also, what would help is if you mentioned your "big 3", weight and body % before you started working out, mention how long you have been working out for, and your results now. That really helps gauge in how hard you have worked etc.

Sitting here no one knows your story... maybe you just increased your repping weight by 40ibs for all we know.... and that wouldn't be getting stronger but your muscles simply not staying dormant after being stimulated for say 8-12 months of exercises.

of course all this assumes that you have not done all that already... i feel too lazy to go through 10 pages of stuff at this point.

My initial post was telling a member that if they wanted to achieve your numbers and lets say their current max is 250 for the squat... its not hard to bump it up to 350 in a 1.5 years time. Simple as that... nothing more.

EDIT:

Ok, I just went through the first couple pages... and you did mention everything other than what your originally did (pre-workout stats) so props to you. I would like to make a suggestion... I dont know what your goals are but you should def. work on your squat. I think proportionately its on the weak side with all your other numbers. Your bench is fine (regardless of what some "bench-monkeys" would like to tell you otherwise). Working out your legs releases hormones in your body which aids working out in an overall sense. Squats is the exercise that works-out the most number of muscles in your body simultaneously.

Note: "Bench monkeys" are people at the gym who only work on their bench and nothing else... then they like compare/talk trash about how they can bench more than others whereas the rest of their body is like a twig with chicken legs. Every gym has some.
Thanks for taking the time and going through everything.

I think everyone has different goals when it comes to fitness. A full fit person isn't necessarily defined by their total weight lifted. I just posted my big three because that would point people in the direction of fitness i "major" in.

On a side note, i currenly weigh about 199 and my squat is at 315 atm. I'm going to go for a 245 bench this tueday up from my 225 for 5 reps. I'm also on a very slow cut. Planning on deloading soon but I'm not feeling the need to do so atm. Havent thrown in cardio yet, the slight add that i have might be the reason why.

I've improved a bit since i started this thread!! And i've taken some of the more positive advice others have thrown at me so thanks for all of you for that.

Tried Hiit for the first time on a stationary bike. Didn't knew my cardio was that bad, almost died after 15minutes. Had to lay down for a while to recover.

hiit is an advanced exercise. You should only do it if you are on top of your game with your regular well-exhausting workout.

Well even then... It is suppose to have that kind of effect on you... Especially the first time... But at least you won't die from it.

Awesome. Been lookin' for a thread like this..

I need more squat like workouts (dead lifts/Russian deadlifts) to try and do. I also need some more lower back workouts aside from the back-extensions I've been using. ;(

Been doing lots of body weight exercises until about.. a week ago when my bf just picked up a gym pass.

Hiit is usually used for fat burning. I does has some perks on side benefits but usually it burns more calories than normal calories. A good 12-15 minute session is worth about 40mins of steady cardio.

Body weight excerises are great but it can only get you so far until you have to start repping it out like crazy. When i was overweight, i could barley do a single one and get sore the next day after doing 15. Now my biggest problem is not falling asleep while doing pushups (figuratively speaking.)

For lower back exercises i always stuck with just normal conventional dead lifts. Or Russian deadlifts, however you want to word it. Didn't do too many lower back exercises, that way i can go heavy and get some pretty mid to high reps with it. I don't want a really thick lower back, more of a thicker upper back and a smaller lower back. It's all personal preference for me though.

Did you pick up a gym pass along with your bf? The gym is a excellent place to start if you have it to your disposal.

It really depends on what you do really. If you're doing a lot of complex movements than yea, it would require a bit of knowledge and mind muscle experience. But if it's just sprinting and jogging and sprinting and jogging, than anyone can do that.

I'm not going to do hiit very long. I'm around 162lbs now i'm doing a small cut with hiit to burn off the my love handles/gut. Going to bulk again in a week and half.
