Good to know. I use Mobil one in all of my cars except the Z where I use Valvoline VR-1. Time to stock up on Motul!

Ok, so I'm apparently like Cole Trickle from Days of Thunder. I can drive a car, but I'm clueless when I'm underneath the damn thing. I needed a set of tools, so I went to pick up a ratchet set. Figured that would be enough to take off the stock muffler and add an axle back. Maybe it was, for anyone that knows what they are doing, but I just felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. Would an impact wrench be a good idea?
Keep in mind that I'm seriously an idiot when it comes to this stuff. I tried to use one of those small monkey wrenches to hold the nut because the second socket wrench that came with the set I bought didn't fit beside the exhaust tube, and there wasn't an extension for the larger wrench. Yes, that bad. Also, where can I get the OEM 14mm exhaust bolts? |

As for needing bolts I always liked Ace Hardware because they just seem to have a great selection and you can normally take them the bolts you removed and they can help from there as you mentioned not being sure what you are doing. I will say that most new exhaust systems come with everything you need. If not that's a little strange but either way it should not e hard to do at all.

If you want come down Saturday and you can get all the help you like. But yes those hangers can be a pain that's why I recommend WD40 aka Lube... lol. Also its great to have a socket set but did you get a few standard wrenches too? (Metric in size of course) Not all nuts just spin off on exhaust and I cannot remember if the stock exhaust is just studs and nuts or bolts and nuts which would require you to hold both sides.
