Yeah, my guy said production in the end of February, so 2-3 months wait.

I don't know why it's so long for us.. Not that I mind - not driving in the winter and not having to worry about storage FTW

Oh and on that note...WOOOO I'm finally picking mine up tonight! It's been at the dealership waiting for me since Tuesday! Longest 2 days EVER!

Only reason I want to know the number is so I can create a #(hashtag, ie XXXXFRS) for her detailing my build lol. I can never settle on a name for all my vehicles...

but if we're claiming #'s...Dibs on 1868!

Mine should be arriving today. I'll probably end up getting it tomorrow. Hard to believe after all this time I'm finally going to own an 86. I've been following these cars before the concepts were even released.

Any idea if this still has frs more drift-friendly rear suspension over the brz?

Have you learned to do a solid handbrake start on hills yet? Once you master that, you can relax. There's a great deal more to learn, of course, but mastering that removes a huge worry. It also saves your clutch disk from the unavoidable excess wear that accompanies doing it any other way.

You've come a long way ... you deserve something really nice. You've earned it.

This is exciting...
Yeah I practiced a little on a hill awhile back with my mother as well as a parking lot. Shes a real pro so I'm confident Ill be as good in no time. I learned on a 93 Ford Escort so when I was on the test drive in the frs it felt amazing! That gearbox is like butter
I still have a lot more practicing to do though

They are the same. Confirmed by member Monogram a few days ago when he got it. Just need to run resistor between two of the wires to fix this.

Well my dealer called me today and told me it's on the lot! (It was supposed to get to the port yesterday so I was very surprised it was here so soon) I almost went and picked it up tonight but decided I want to see it in good daylight before I sign anything. Hopefully everything will be alright since I told them not to wash it or do anything at all to it. He said it still has writing on the windshield from shipping so hopefully I didn't get any DIS (dealer installed swirls)!
I'm going to pick it up on Saturday so I'll post a pic of it then!

The last 4 of mine are 6266 (yea that number shows up everywhere I look so this really feels right) So I'm not seeing where the 2000 fits in the VIN.

My tC RS6 has a nameplate but a standard run VIN, it is just a tC with a half ass repaint (the body work under the hood is a different color) so not a true special edition in my opinion.
I think the Monogram is the same. They just pulled standard cars off the line and installed different features.
Don't take me wrong, I'm not bitching, I'm happy I got the features I wanted and I know I have one of the first 2000. I don't care what anyone else knows I have, it only matters what I know and I don't have to tell anyone.

They wouldn't be pulled off the line, all the features of the Monogram are on either the BRZ or GT86. So the process would be the exact same.

The spoiler would have a different process as there is more holes on the OEM scion spoiler (correct me if I am wrong), but they could do that in station still. But I suspect it may also be a port installed job, as a few people have commented on mismatching paint which would never pass inspection at plant.

Yeah, but you want to minimize the wear on your new car as you practice, right?

Just so I understand, you're buying a MANUAL transmission FR-S Monogram, correct?

Are you getting the red you'd originally wanted?
