That water sheeting off is exactly what happened once I switched from Meguiars Professional line-up (I used to order them thru Napa) to the Autoglym stuff on my old Golf. With the BRZ I'm currently just using Meguiars Ultimate off the shelf for now, as I haven't decided what to end up with. I didn't know about this ceramic stuff until you posted.

I drive like 10k or less a year so I guess it could be classified as a toy?

Sorry one last question: so basically with CQuartz being thinner it should be able to hold a coat of wax on top? But would the top wax layer be durable (or pointless since the gloss is already there)?

My car is dark grey in color, how would you describe the look of Opti-Coat vs CQuartz?

Thanks again!

Well wax won't really stay because both these coatings are designed for whatever is on top of them to fall off including wax but with CQuartz the look is great and even better then most waxes I would say. The paint looks so deep you could go swimming in it.

Honestly some people can tell the difference between the 2 and some can't. Sort of how I can't hear the difference between $20 headphones and $200. Because your educated in this maybe CQuartz would be a better option.

Thanks dude I'll find you once Spring rolls around (this road salt in Canada is really pissing me off so my car is just being garaged for now) and when I've made up my mind on which to go with.
