That looks like the worst intake design I've ever seen for our cars.

It's like someone looked at the stock box and decided to remove the lid, remove CAI tube and make it out of a heavier material that heat soaks. I wonder if there is even an air straightener. I'm surprised there isn't a rainbow titanium look option for another $500. And now with the intake tube, you've removed any flex in the system. Because these engines don't move at all! Sweet welds on your air box though!

Looks great! I would say that intake tube with the stock airbox would be my choice though

I've seen their intake lose 10 whp over the stock s2000 intake box

Hood closed = condition this intake will work in.

Guarantee dyno = hood open.

When i helped Hybrid Racing test their intake on my civic si we tested short ram intakes with hood closed vs hood open. The results were HILARIOUS. On average the short rams would lose anywhere between 10 and 15 whp with the hood closed.

The thread was about the suction pipe, if the box was no good why it that in japan most track circuit cars are running an arc box? You cant also compare a short ram to this box, and if I was losing power I would have already switched back. Lol your statement makes no sense btw this is not an s2000.

Therefore it's related genius. I guess i'm confused as to what the fuck i'm looking at.

I see a shit arc intake filter connected to a welded aluminum pipe. Are we simply talking about the pipe?

There's no way i'd run a filter that's open air to the engine bay. It would at least be run as cowl induction (check out the gruppe m intake for the FD2 civic type r for an idea what i mean)
