NEW Cusco Air Suction Pipe Kit.. they still keep no finding stuff to make :)

Cusco Japan just released this product.

The Cusco Air Suction Pipe Kit for the Toyota 86 & Subaru BRZ is a direct factory replacement component that enhances air intake efficiency. Since naturally aspirated applications are very sensitive to modi?fications, certain aspects such as air intake is a critical factor in performance enhancement.

By providing a smoother internal intake wall lining than the OEM Toyota factory ribbed design, a significant increase in air intake velocity can be realized. Smooth, transitional air flow equals less turbulence. The aluminum pipe is a direct replacement of the factory piece where the air intake filter box is retained in its original position.

COMPATIBLE WITH FACTORY TOYOTA "SOUND CREATOR" FUNCTION
To make this product 100% factory replacement, the OEM "Sound Creator" pipe was still made to be compatible with the aluminum air suction pipe. The sound creator function can also be eliminated by installing an bung to the port, completely sealing off any air flow to the air intake system. Compatible with factory ECU.

There are only so many ways to construct an aluminum intake pipe. This one I believe is cheaper than the other options at about $180, not too far off from the silicone tubes. I'm on the fence about it since aluminum absorbs heat moreso than say silicone will, although it results in a smoother interior.

Besides their suspension components, majority of Cusco's other products are re-branded from other companies. It can often be the more cost effective route to let someone else handle R&D, and manufacturing. I'd agree with Troek, it looks a lot like the Blitz, probably is.

I'm sure it does, that's why some others vendors have two versions of the pipe.
