I live in WV and have a job interview for a position in CA on Thursday.

I am looking at my options on getting my car over there (safely, obviously), but have no idea where to start.

What do you guys suggest? Can you offer approx. pricing?

Thanks!
shipped mine to the same aliso viejo area from florida. cost roughly 800-1000 dollars. Used USHIP.com! Good luck on the interview. Hopefully another FRS in the area!

Drive baby, drive!
We've moved back and forth from the left coast to the right and back again probably 8-10 times. Drove very time and wouldn't trade it for the world. Even the time we had two cats and a black lab in the cab of a uhaul driving from NYC to Phoenix, it was still fun.

I have shipped my FRS from Los Angeles to Kansas, then Kansas back to Los Angeles for $750 each way, uncovered in on a trailer with 5-7 other cars.

They were really quick... it took less than 3 days for each trip

Seriously.

It's a hell of a drive, but you'll get to see some incredible places if you plan it right. The money you'd spending getting it shipped would be better spent on hotels and amenities.

Okay, so I need to get out there asap (no time to take the scenic route, unfortyunatly), so I will definitly be shipping. :/

Anyway, I checked out USHIP.com and the lowerst quote I found was 1350 >.< I mean, I can pay that if need be, but I'd rather find something a little cheaper.

Since this is a job related moving expense it should be deductible.

That is true. I found a much more reasonable quote of $950, but it will take 2 days longer to arrive (worth it, in my book.)
