Just a question about how the rear of the diffuser is secured. I see the front of it is attached at the sway bar brackets but it looks like the rear is just held up by the plastic valiance with what looks like some of those expanding body clips into the holes already in the bumper. Am I seeing that right or is it bolted through the holes in some fashion? Is this really secure enough? Someone I think said that they could stand on the diffuser and it would support them? I realize there really isn't a lot of downward pressure on the rear of the diffuser but I guess I'm just surprised if it really is a couple of those expanding body clips.

Can you guys offer any insight?

That is correct, the part does come with Subaru expansion clips for the rear. There have been several owners that regularly take the piece 120+mph with no issues. This is also just what the part comes with from me, I will fully encourage to mod it and customize anything about the diffuser you don't like! For my prototype, I used some skunk2 fancy fender washers and wing nuts to dress it up a little. (Although this was possible by me removing the reverse light from the bumper)

Also, yes, that is true that you can stand on the part. I weigh around 165-170lbs and I can put my full wieght on the center of the diffuser. (Where the majority of downforce is created). I will do some photos or video soon.

I do look for information on what I am interested in on sites related to the topic, like My FRS and this site.......seems logical to get the information from places specific to the topic

But, if it is too much hassle to show us what you promised for months on end here.....then I will look elsewhere for a similar product

Well, I'm sorry to have inconvenienced you. I'm not a vendor on the site, so making a specific thread for the type 2 isn't an option for me right now. I'd be more than happy to email or text you the teaser pic that I have right now but I also cannot gunk up this thread with massive off topic.

Please email me or private message me if you'd like the type 2 teaser. I really do understand the anxiety over the wait, but I'm dealing with it too as I really want this to get released. Also, please note that building car stuff isn't a full time job for me, this is a hobby for me.

Driveway.labs@gmail.com or PM me your phone info.

Anyone have a write up for the use with spacers for the Greddy exhaust? I would like to add it to my data, greatly appreciated.

I can link the page I originally posted about it if you like...... I have since added spacers to the center of the diffuser as well for the EVO 3.

Holy shit this is the first time I've seen this thread/part. It's on my list now!!

I've got an Invidia Q300 catback. Looks like it is compatible with this diffuser according to the FT86SpeedFactory website page for this part.

PS - anybody have pics of this on WRB BRZ yet?

@Wonderbar

Sorry, it took me a while to find it. I'll have to update it with more recent pics with my center spacers installed.

If they are similar to the rexspeed ones, they'll have to get trimmed very slightly on the underside. But should. Look at ft-86 sf's mpd they did to theirs.
