I seen a lot of people mention the "stage 1.5" kit is this just the stage 1 kit with an exhaust setup?

Basically yes, it is a full exhaust (2.5" front to back) and the BOV, etc etc.

So am I reading this right, with a stage 1 AVO and exhaust I can put down 270whp on 93 octane?

The FBM kit with the GT2871R spools well before 3500 RPM:

It is already at 5 psi by 3500 RPM.

Bob is not so good at communicating. I believe he meant this "kit"

I would *love* to see the boost plot for that particular run.....

Similar with GTX30 (3-4 psi) by 3500 RPM

I got the AVO kit, AVO FP & OP and a Tomei Type 80. With this I and no one else so far has had any complaints about drone. It is deff loud however I came from a SRT headerback which was much louder. I'm going to sound deaden the trunk a bit and I think it will be prefect.

Depends on how good your 93 actually is. Stuff around here isn't stellar.

But tune is going to be the deciding factor. So get a good tuner.

Thank you gents. My bad - when people ask me about the FBM kit, it's usually in relation to that one with the >600WHP run. I should have specified. Thanks for the clarification!

Cheers!

Sorta. Aside from the OP / FP / CBE combination, the hardware includes the 8 PSI actuator and the 3 bar Map sensor (and a BOV) to boot.

That's a Stage 1.5 setup running 8 PSI with 91 octane (right @Mr. Jay?) and a 3 INCH Cat-Back Exhaust. A clutch was required too since we exceed the stock OEM limitations. But yeah, the DO Stage 1.5 is usually in the 260WHP range for both MTs and ATs.

2 months in to owning my AVO Kit, and its seen alot of DD. no problems at all. This kit is super responsive(granted you are at the correct gear). So glad i went this route.

Sorry to bring up a relatively old thread but...

Im having a bit of a tough time choosing (in my opinion) the best of both worlds turbo kit. Best of both worlds to me means a DD 92 (WA gas) That makes the car what it should have felt like from the factory. The other world is changing to an E85 tune and reminding myself its anything but factory

Im leaning towards the AVO stage 1.5, a few questions though, as im seeing it most people have multiple types of exhaust running on a AVO kit, so im assuming the exhaust flanges are universal? (Plan to run a 3") as far as a E85 tune, what kind of power would I be expecting? i.e. I would be traveling to @Drift-Office for my tune and such.

p.s. another relatively off topic question, how long do these AVO stage 1/1.5 kits take to tune?

The exhaust flange on the turbo discharge pipe is a 2.5" two-bolt pattern, slotted so that it can fit a stock exhaust or a slightly larger than 2.5". A 3" may fit post turbo discharge, but that depends on the exhaust maker's design. When we designed the 3" turbo back parts, we had to discard using the exact same flange points as stock for the cross-over and front pipe so we could redesign the bends in the crossover so that 3" diameter fits through the crossmember hole without touching it or the stabilizer bar bracket.

E85 would depend on supporting mods - the turbo can push out 380whp on e85, but the exhaust and fueling will need to support that as well (and clutch).

If I might ask - where are you planning to get E85? There are zero stations between Marysville and JBLM. E85 is not feasible for us in the PNW. Bob will probably tell you as well that E85 is not the way to go here.

My kit was installed and tuned by Drift Office. I think my car was down for 4 business days?
