Sweet. Thanks for the feedback! I'm still debating if this is the path I want to take. I plan on autocrossing at least a few times this summer, so would be nice to stiffen up the suspension just a tad bit AND have a drop, instead of just lowering the car on springs.

3, 4, 5(two nuts), 9, 11, 13...and 12(or is it 2?...they're the 3 nuts to secure the top strut to the car).

Same for front/rear

Thanks,

I thought it was only 3,4,5, and 11, didn't know you had to use #9. I wanted to keep the stock suspension intact and just buy upper mounts all around.

I believe #12 are the three bolts you re-use for the top hat to bolt to the frame (two for the rear). #2 is the top shock screw... you'll use the one that comes with the coilovers...

Hey guys,
If I were to run 17x9 +35 with 245/40-17 tires square,
would I be needing the camber bolts for my st-coils to set them up properly?

I did not adjust the perches from this before installing.
That's kind of the point. Helpers are not supposed to be uncompressed. They are there to keep compression when there is weight off of the wheel, such as when you are cornering hard. It prevents the springs from getting loose in the assembly. (bad explanation, but I'm sure you get it)

Did anyone get a pamphlet with theirs about setting the height to shock spec. The ones I have on my M3 had a sheet with all types of measurements for the highest and lowest you can set them within spec of the damper and how to measure before and after install. And yes these are kW v1 but just not stainless.

About a month ago, I installed these with out-of-the-box settings of 0 turns/threads remaining in front and 15 threads (not sure exactly how many turns) in back. My fronts settled down around 8 mm and rears a little less. Today, I adjusted the fronts 3 full turns upward (exposing about 1.5 threads) and rears 1 full turn upwards (still about 15 threads) which brought the fronts up about 8 mm and rears up about 4 mm to compensate for the settling...

Factory wheel hub center to fender edge distance for front is 14 7/16" and rear is 14 5/8" which averages about 14.5" or 368 mm. I adjusted my coilovers to 333 mm. That's 35mm below stock height which is smack dab in the middle of KW's recommended 20-50 mm adjustment range. I'm locking this in and doing my 3rd alignment since I installed these coilovers and hopefully last one for awhile (glad I opted for Firestone's lifetime alignments option the first time I went).

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm getting these. Thanks @switchlanez for your thorough research. You've helped me a lot in my decision-making processes. Once my bigger projects are revealed I'm definitely giving you a shout out in my build thread!

I also really appreciate everyone's pics!

So I just got my ST's in today. Packaging from ST sucks. Coils were all over the place. So I gave a call to KW/ST to ask. Found out that the first sets of ST's were made/ assembled and packaged in Germany. Now they are made in Germany, assembled in USA and packaged in USA.

Yeah, figured as much. All that man-handling. Good to know, though, as I'm hoping mine make it to Alaska in one piece! Congrats btw.
