I tried both this summer and I didn't notice any difference. This was on the standard tune, though.

By the way can you explain better the fine tune of the autoblip. I was interested in having autoblip but I had read it was shit etc. how did you improve it with the tune.

Originally it was a weak blip. I asked Bob to increase it some. We got it pretty much right now. :-)

Last week Circuit Motorsports installed an HKS EL header and front pipe as well as 93 and E85 tunes. The results were transformational for my car this weekend at the track. I was really impressed with the amount of time committed to dial each of these tunes in. A couple hours street tuning before several hours of dyno tuning for EACH map. About 12 hours involved over 2 days. Bob is an absolute whiz at extracting optimum power while maintaining safety and drivability. This was critical for me as the car was loaded on the trailer 2 days after they finished and then pushed to the limit for 2 days at Roebling Road. Now for the results:

E85 tune on Mustang dyno made 205/170

Acceleration on the straightaway according to my Aim Solo:
Pre tune (August dry track) 105 to 120 gain 15mph
E85 tune (december damp track) 101 to 129 gain 28mph

Difference was a gain of 13 mph in just the front straight. The power is evident everywhere on the track and in damp conditions with minimal traction required careful throttle input! Still managed a 123.87 despite running 8/10 in the corners.

I totally agree, start saving.
I am in the process of getting my circuit motorsport tune now. At rev5 right now
Had a "off the shelf" tune before, with this option you can have them do stuff YOU want in the tune.

-Different octane maps
-slightly higher idle
-rev stop is a rev stop, the rpm just stops without the car falling on its face. Love it while sideways on snow/ice
-I have asked about the possibility to calm down the cold start rpm, find it to loud. (Waiting on answer.)
-Later we will look on racerom features, I found the auto blip useless before, up the rpm and it will work alot better.
-+++
I am super happy so far. This is customer service at a high level compared to others in the same business!

Hoping Bob will have a new revision for me soon. (Hint hint )

Just wanted to add that every tune I perform is a custom tune that is designed to maximize the performance of your particular modifications, takes into account your driving style and what type of driving/racing you will be doing with the car.

Off-The-Shelf (OTS) tunes have to be conservative by nature, and a custom tune will nearly always out-perform an OTS tune, even on a stock car with no modifications.

Hi, i have a quick question

I know atle and Andreas from the Norwegian forum, and it sounds very convincing with your custom tune, the thing is i live at Svalbard and we have snowy roads until may/june, can i buy the EcuTek stage2 tune now and start the tuning in the summer?

Also i was thinking of getting me a full exhaust inc a catted header before i start tuning, and if it will add even more power i'm willing to get a new intake, maybe perrin? or whatever is the most cost/performance effective

Have a look at grimmspeed development intake thread, lots of info about intake in general

imho right now best is to just keep stock intake and use a drop-in filter.

Most intakes don't seem to be worth the effort for power. Might do a little for the noise, but your setup will be plenty loud and a very nice boxer rumble, so i wouldn't worry about it, Aleksander!

By the way, the new soft rev limiter is awesome!
