Haha. Well it just goes to show that if you go into modding your car expecting to get what you paid back you are most likely in for a rude awakening.

Stock cars seem to hold their value pretty well. I sold my BRZ in the dead of winter and got above the NADA book value for a dealer trade in.

And that does not include the $1675 I was able to recoup for the trade-in rebate towards another new car. Or the equivalent of about $25K had I sold it privately.

I agree. I saw the price of stock BRZ Limiteds dropping into the $22k range and said that now was the time to sell before they got any cheaper. By the way the P&L kit isn't the most expensive. I think the PTuning kit with all the options such as fueling and manifold is the most expensive. The P&L is a great kit though and he is a great seller (met him in person).

Judging by previous Toyota sports cars that were introduced at a similar price point, I would say $8-10K in 10 years for low miles in excellent condition. Inflation over the next 8 years may move that up to $9-11K.
